Vols in MLB Update

it’s time….

With those numbers it’s time to head to big leagues. We know the braves ain’t afraid of that jump from AA so maybe it happens.

Those numbers make it obvious to me

Well, 1) Beck is part of the Rockies system not the Braves, and 2) Beck just made it to AA so they probably want to see how he adjusts first over a bigger sample.

Gilbert was mashing in High A and has struggled in AA once he got there.

I was only pointing out the braves , a highly successful franchise, has shown the league that moving prospects from AA can be successful. It’s a copy cat league.

And yea I should have looked at his stats closer. I didn’t realize he just got to AA

I would equate jumping from A ball to AA, is like a non-conference schedule to SEC play, not talent-wise but the difference in pitcher's "stuff"

Agreed. AA is kind of the “prove it” zone. It’s a significant leap in competition. I think it’s the hardest league to excel in as a prospect. I don’t think the jump from AA to AAA is quite as large. You often see a lot of major leaguers go to AA for rehab assignments.

Comparing the Rockies front office to Atlanta's is like comparing dog food to a T-bone, though. I'd never expect the Rockies front office to make forward-thinking decisions.
