Got to watch Ben Joyce at the Trop tonight. 1.0 IP/ 0 RUN/ 2BB/ 2k's and a weak pop to SS. He shook off leadoff walk and with runners on 1st and 2nd struck out final batter. Nice to see a Vol in live action.

I don't think base runners bother him at all. His WHIP is up, but he hasn't allowed runs. ERA looking good.

I was hoping to see Blade throw for the Ponies.
It’ll be a shame if they don’t win the championship because that squad is loaded. Gilbert, Tidwell, Parada, Acuna, Jett Williams. The Mets have some good young talent.

There are some Tennessee guys in the Arizona Fall League right now. Each MLB team picks seven guys from their minor league system, so it’s an honor to play there.

On Connor Pavolony

Connor Pavolony, C: A University of Tennessee product taken in the seventh round of the 2021 Draft, Pavolony is making up for missed reps both at and behind the plate. The backstop played in just 27 games in 2023 because of a hamate injury and is still trying to regain his timing after getting just 103 plate appearances during the regular season.
