Sack records were not kept until the early 80's. Before that they were mere tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Wouldn't expect someone from the 60's to lead in that stat when it didn't exist then..

He had a pretty good run, don't get me wrong, but the Vols won the NC in '98 with supreme talent that Fulmer recruited with the help of an all-time legend at QB. Very average in-game coach. Neyland, Manning, White, A. Wilson,.
