My son did undergraduate at the U. Stadium is 40 minute bus ride from campus. They have 12k undergraduates and about 1/3 from outside the US. The city has pro teams in every league. Not a great mix for butts in seats.

They are talking about a smaller stadium near campus.
From what I’ve seen they are a Dolphins city and Heat whenever they are good. Messi has infused a lot of excitement and would be the biggest attraction in town but he is injured. They don’t care about collegiate sports it seems. Too much going on all the time in Miami also.

I wouldn't touch this game until after the Bama game. There is still alot to learn about Texas A&Ms offense with Max Johnson at QB

Also, I'm not sure what to think about A&Ms defense. They are supposedly a top 5 group in some statistics (Sacks, Yards Allowed, etc), and top 25 in most other categories, yet Miami put up 48 on them. I think they've played one dimensional offenses in both Auburn and Arkansas, along with two other smaller programs, so that may have skewed some numbers.

Thoughts? Seems about right, I'm guessing will come down close to 7, depending on how they look against Bama.
A&M will beat Bama this week and then they will be favored over us. I'm waiting on the line till then. Bama's season will start to crumble with 2 losses, and I've predicted they lose 4 games this year. 8-4 for the Tide turds!

I thought Miami had been playing home games at Hard Rock for at least 15 years now? It’s just they never have the fan support to put people in the stands so it’s not a home field advantage.

I dont blame them.........been to a lot of stadiums and that's one of the worst. Its a tie between there and the swamp for most out of date, 80's nostalgic, throwback, concrete and aluminum benches stadium in the country. Its fools gold because outside looks nice + the Hard Rock name. But the only spectators that I imagine enjoying either of these venues still comes to games with massive binoculars around their necks, a transistor walk-man radio, and sporting black socks n' shorts.

As long as we view every week as a Super Bowl it doesn’t matter. Really wish we could get Dee Williams some kind of touches on O. Kids elusive and fun to watch when he touches the ball. Kind of reminds me of Patterson.

This surprises me. Sagarin has us and A&M about even. Home field advantage probably counts for 3 points, so Sagarin would imply Vols -3. I'm surprised the actual line is -9.

I bet it will come down.

That said, I don't know how many points are factored in for 1 team having a bye-week and another team playing their toughest conference game the previous week. Very glad we got the bye week before this one.

A&M is good and it definitely will be a tough game, but like most teams, they are not a good road team under their current coach. In SEC road games (COVID year excluded because that isn’t a real SEC environment), A&M owns a 3-11 record under Jimbo.

Looking at their schedule, it looks like we will be their first real road test, which could end up being a huge advantage. They lost to Miami at Hard Rock stadium which I believe technically is neutral site, they played Auburn and Bama at home, and beat Arky in Jerry World.
It's not neutral, Hard rock is Miami's home stadium and its only minutes from campus.

I wouldn't take them for granted with Max Johnson subbing in now. Thought he got a raw deal at LSU with them going out to get Daniels over him. He's got his shot now to show he's a legit QB, and I believe he is.
