Beating Saban and his institutional year and after year top or near top recruiting class talent in Tuscaloosa is gonna be challenging. I know Bama has been struggling at times to put the pieces together, but I'm certainly thinking they have to be the favorites on paper at the moment, and I think the line is fair. That said, I think we could very well beat them, but it's gonna take us either playing a really good game, including better in our passing game than we have so far, or they will have to have a bad one while we also have some breaks.
I wouldn't count on the latter. Usually even when Saban has had some early trouble in times past he's ended up putting together really good seasons. Several times people have been ready to say Alabama is slipping only to have them suddenly find a way to win out over the years. They have the home field advantage and should be really motivated after last years loss. All of which is to say, I hope our guys go in with good mindsets and expect to compete and win, but I don't think we can count on the Elephants beating themselves.
