I'm not sure where you think you've seen me argue with MHF. Pretty sure he's been on my ignore list since sometime around his attempt to pass beating DePaul off as a quality win last year.

lulz then what are the numbers hat? we are all dying to know!

Well since this is basketball and all. Most likely Maymon and Fields stats. Also, I recently heard that MHF was getting hired by rivals to evaluate players.

I assume the numbers are lines that Maymon had while starting for Marquette.

It's possible I haven't seen it; my apologies.

I've definitely seen MHF call out Hatvol's predictions, and the whole MHF vs. Hatvol tends to be a theme around here. I only barely skim those parts, so again, my mistake.

It's more like MHF v. Anyone who actually knows a damn thing about basketball.

I said I liked Maymon a lot and thought he would be a great contributor...

Hat said he was fat and lazy...

Pretty divergent opinions. He will probably pretend later that it did not happen, just like he tries to run away from the fact that he called Goins a waste of a scholarship.

His talent evaluation sucks. He is proud for calling Jurick a future bust along with every other person I know.

Its funny that all the kids that play and practice with Maymon have nothing but good to say about him. Brian Williams called him a junkyard dog,all other player and coach comments mention toughness. Hat says fat and lazy?

It is not really planned that when I bump something idiotic said by your BB your horrific predictions show up for everyone to see again.

Stepcross, hatvol does not argue with me...hahahaha he just likes to show up in most of the threads I write talking about Depaul.

By the way, last year I was wrong about Depaul (though they lost the only NBA level talent they had to injury) and Arizona. You will see me admit when I am wrong. Not possible for all of us.

So the team has evolved from looking like alley cats to junkyard dogs. Nice.

I'll be happy with just about anyone who shoots a mid-range jumper. What a lost art.

You mean, my horrific predictions that are still right more often than yours by a longshot?

So you should reserve your judgment of Va Tech until they are healthy then? Also, you never once admitted that you were wrong about the Big 10 last year. Even though you were. That's not to mention a laundry list of other idiocy.

So what is the consensus on Maymon?

A good contributor or a waste of space?

This is a serious question, I don't know anything about the guy.

From the look of the post you quoted, someone has forgotten their assertions and predictions about Charlotte, Virginia, Florida, Miami, the relative strength of the SEC compared to the Big 10, UT's return to controlled chaos, et al. Sad to watch the effects of early onset Alzheimer's.

Wisconsin Mr. Basketball.

Was playing tons as a true freshman at Marquette.

Left there because he hated the way the coaches were using him. He does not mind being used as a 3 or a 4 but he never wanted to play the 5 and that is where they were putting him because they said they had a need there.

He has a good reputation as being willing to mix it up defensively and he is pretty strong. The things that made him able to play center in the Big East mean that he is a huge improvement as a back up 4 defensively over Pearl. Now having Fields at the 5, Maymon at the 4 and Pearl at the 3, you have an incredibly strong defensive group for backups, and out of the frontcourt, Maymon would be the guy you would look to most to score.

Only a few people on here predicted he would not contribute. One said "fat and lazy" both of which are factual assertions that are easily proven one way or the other. They were both false.

If by playing tons you mean under 17 min per for 9 games you would be correct.
