I could care less about polls but Clemson being above us is annoying. Not like we just trashed them in a bowl game or anything.
Clemson has earned alot of street cred in the last 10 years. In many non-Vol eyes we have yet to prove we were not a one hit wonder.

The love LSU is getting is a little confusing to me. They went 10-4 last year getting smoked by UT and giving up 50 to UGA. They lost a close one to FSU. They blew out a very mediocre Purdue team in the bowl game that was missing key players. They won a pretty weak SEC west last year imo. Maybe they'll be worth the hype but I'm not seeing it.
It is 80% Brian Kelly love. The pundits will never want to admit their longstanding over estimation of him. They are very invested in the narrative that a coach from outside the SEC can come in here and teach us bumpkins about real hard nosed yankee football

Bama’s roster is always loaded, but I feel like they are missing, or have question marks at some very important positions. The only way they come in at 3 is based upon name alone. A lot of people talk about how they only lost games by 4 points or whatever. They were also very fortunate to not have been 8-4 or 7-5, and that’s with 2 of the best players in college football last year.
Without Young they would have got skull drug by Tenn

I think they have a decent shot at repeating in the west. They started slow last year - new coach, new system and lots of new players. But they seemed to wake up after we humbled them. They went 10-4 starting two true freshmen on the OL. I think they will shock FSU in the opener - sort of a revenge game. Their biggest challenge is the same as ours - playing Bama in T town. Their other road games are at Ole Miss, at Miss State and at Missouri. If they beat FSU they could be undefeated when they travel to play Bama.

I think he's just an old school coach who plays physical football. He had tough physical teams at ND but always lacked the super athletes at the skill positions. He's got more talent on this year's LSU squad than on any of his past ND teams.

Fine with it, I like being underrated. Let them sleep on us, worked out well last year
I don't mind being the under dog but they way we beat Clemson and punished their QB in front of his parents should've had them below us.
I think that's what ticks me off the most. The Orange Bowl wasn't even close and we have the QB and WR that did it coming back.

Being ranked below Penn St., Florida St., and Clemson is patently ridiculous. Even LSU is very debatable, but the QB has been hyped to such a degree that he has nowhere to go but down.

Been saying most of the offseason that this team will be ALOT more well rounded than last year with our pickups in the portal. Not gonna be shocked in the slightest if we win it all.
