It is understood that 'Preseason Polls are meaningless"...

EXCEPT for Michigan & Ohio State. When you start off in the "Preseason Poll" in the Top 5...ONLY play Cupcakes...until you play each other at the END of the Season...then you occupy 2 spaces in the Top 5 that you have ZERO credibility to occupy throughout the Season...

We dont have Hooker, Hyatt, or Tillman anymore. Thats what the media says. I guess they didnt watch the bowl game where those players didnt even play. Ugh, im ready for the season to start.

Trashed Clemson without all three of those guys too

Add in a 6'5 4.3 freak Dont'e Thornton

The other thing is, our current WR core is far more proven going into this season than the previous two seasons.

Last year it was just Tillman. No one else had done anything.

Two years ago, Velus, Payton, Tillman, Hyatt, Keyton all total nobodies.

National and even some of our local media hasn't pointed that out yet

I think those days are long gone because it really doesn't work like that anymore. You could get away with a game manager at the beginning of the Saban era but the game has evolved since then and NIL is leveling the playing field. There is a reason why Saban went from recruiting game managers to top tier QB's. Say what u want about Bennett but dude put on the hero T-shirt a couple times the last few years. UGA ain't winning the last 2 titles without Bennett. I don't think they beat us last year without the plays he made.and Bama would have been a 7 win team last year without Bryce. LSU always has a stacked roster but they are only good when they have a real QB. The guy pulling the trigger is a very big deal

One COULD say the same about Georgia who doesn’t really have a tough game until they play us late in the season. Tennessee on the other hand has the usual murderer‘s row of a schedule including a game at Alabama

Yes they do too, but they’ve also won back to back titles, so I’ll give them a pass on their #1 ranking . It was also not their fault that the Oklahoma game was cancelled. Michigan has zero excuse for the past couple of years schedule .

This is also the first time since 1998 we are preseason ranked #10, We've been ranked higher and lower in preseason polls, but not 10, not since that year. Just sayin......

I see what you are saying. Sort of like the back stretch on the Kentucky Derby. The 10th horse is positioned nicely to make a move along the stretch towards the pole.
