Vols still major players for many Big-Time prospects

Looks like some of the vet posters have a good feel for the ones UT has the most realistic chances of landing. Not saying UT might not snag some of the others, but one thing would definitely help UT land more of the guys on that list. And that is for someone to whisper in a few of those guys' ears that they themselves can greatly help "the cause" a great deal by committing sooner rather than later. Momentum is a HUGE factor in recruiting. Getting a few of them such as Martin, AJ, Richardson, etc. on board now to help recruit the others would go a long way in getting more of them to jump on board the train.

I said the same piece about P Martin, & some dude tried to call me a windbag, but I agree w u. We need a 4* aboard, like Martin to give this campaign a little traction & oomph! I think once we get a unanimously "elite" guy on board regardless of position, O, or D, that will be a huge momentum boost for the class & pave the way for more!

Although Louisiana kids dream of playing for LSU no matter what, I believe the best thing we can hope for is Miles' outing. However, I'm not sure what the staff would do if some guys wanted to come on board that late i.e. Trai Turner who we were probably leading for till the LSU offer came. I just don't see how you can turn someone like that down though if it came to that. Of course we all know what another mediocre year for Richt and UGA could mean for us.

I hope Richt never gets fired. I've always feared what kind of power UGA could become if they ever hired a real coach with all that talent surrounding them.

I agree. I hope for 8-4 seasons at best and they choose to keep him around. However, I fear what Richt can do if he only had solid coordinators around him. His personality is very endearing to parents around the South and he'll always get his share of elite talent and if he can find a way for that talent to translate they'll be the power they should be. Willie Martinez wasn't getting it done and I'm not sold on Mike Bobo either. Until he sacrifices loyalty for winning he'll never be as successful as he should/could be.

ok. Devin Bowman's brother is at alabama too. Hes committed to Georgia.

I don't know if Bowman is a good example. Mike Bowman would be at UGA if UGA had accepted him. BTW, he is in trouble at bama from what I hear.

As for Drew right now, 1) ga 2)fsu 3) bama
I think his mom/family like fsu or did when papa was down there

This is literally the first time I've agreed with one of your posts that I've read.

Well according to the players they are. Im sure you have inside knowledge about where these guys are going that even they dont know though.
Sigh, what makes you think these players have us in their top five? Is it because espn listed us there on the player profiles. Those things are random teams that recruit the player until the player gives an update, even then espn is slow to change anything (especially if the info was given on another site.)

He's going to Alabama. Only a special class of homers believe UT has a legitimate chance to get him.

Wow I guess I am in a "special class of homers". He has stated that his brother Arie likes it at Bama and they have an inside track due to that of course. But they are by NO means a lock..He hasn't visited all the schools he intends to yet and he has plainly stated he's got an open mind right now...To say UT is not a major player would be completely false... :wink2:

i think we have a solid shot at getting the guys in bold. also Jadeveon Clowney isn"t listed on there for some reason but he has expressed high interest in UT. it also helps out alot that 3 other players (Justin Worley,Roderick Byers and Gerald Dixon) from the same town as him (Rock Hill South Carolina) would like to play together (Worley is already committed to us).

I don't feel like I need to explain myself to someone who thinks Tennessee is a "major player" with Cyrus Kouandjio.

hey FYI, i watched gridiron kings the other day and at the half they were talkin about o-line prospects. Cyrus Kouandjio told espn that he likes ut and loves the fact he could start right away and he likes our o-line and strength coaches. so he's not the only one that says we have have a shot at him cause i think we do also....

Do not doubt the power of Richt. He has said multiple times he leaves his success up to the power of the Lord.
