This staff has shown results from the portal every year bringing in impact players on both sides of the ball.

Has any of the VQ guys gave an update on Kamari Ramsey the transfer out of UCLA? Only thing I’ve seen reported is we’re taking a swing at him.

Not many high level performers at WR in the portal. The dude is a ball player and he played on a good team as well. I would rather have a guy that has produced than a guy at a big school for a few years and hardly made any impact. I watched Tulane play some games and this guy can play in the SEC.

I doubt you are going to expect anyone to really contribute if they are coming in the April window and missing spring practice.

But we might have to wait to add some guys until the April window with as many EEs we plan on having. We can’t exceed our already low scholarship limits.

It wasn’t my intent to single out the Tulane kid. If he’s the best WR available, it is what it is. I have no reason to think he can’t make an impact. I was referring to the portal as a whole. If our best addition is the Tulane kid, that will not be enough to close the gap with Georgia and Bama, IMO. But we’ll see how things shake out over the next month or so. Need some elite DBs

Yes, the window is to enter. You don't have to commit in the window.

The talent in the Spring window will be less. The better talent enters now so they can go through Spring practice with their new team.

Our choice of OL we've supposedly offered has me scratching my head. I thought the idea was to get better....

Remington Strickland from A&M and Jalen Farmer from UF. Both were reserve OL but both are underclassmen. Coaches obviously see some upside but from the outside looking in, neither seem like plug and play type guys. But I’m not even sure if any of those kind of guys (plug and play) are available yet.

I've said it in multiple threads, Bisontis could plug into guard opposite Spraggins. We should be after this kid.

With all of our other OL coming back (which is HUGE because they could have all left) we’ll be able to let Umarov, Karic, and Lang push each other for that spot all off-season. It’s possible that we reached out and he insists on remaining at OT.

Umarov is an OT IMO. Lang has been talked about as our OC after Mays. And I think we could do better than Karic. JMO
