Maybe but we paid our Oline and Dline. If we wanted them bad enough, would we have paid them more or do we feel like we can get equal or better for less $$coaches wanted some of them but didn’t want to pay the price for them. Wouldn’t really call that telling them to go somewhere, more like mutual parting of ways
Makes perfect sense. Heupel likes to use two TEs. Davis is guaranteed to be one of the two and a transfer would be the other guy. The third guy being a transfer would mean Davis getting major competition for his playing time whereas a high school guy wouldn't be ready to compete and would just add depth. We definitely don't want to lose Davis. If he's healthy, he's going to be our biggest playmaker at TE in a long time.So bringing in 2 transfers would cause him to leave but 1 transfer and 1 HS TE is ok? Doesnt make much sense imo
Agree with being patient. Top teams, including Tennessee, are prioritizing NIL for their own players to return, while teams that are losing players (Kensucky, SCjr) are prioritizing NIL for early portal players.Good data and thanks for sharing
Looks like most of the top programs in SEC are waiting to sign players from the portal just like us, they are waiting on visits to other schools to occur (driving up NIL value), waiting on NIL packages to be shared and thus compared to players debating which teams to sign with, waiting on some players to enter the portal ( top schools know that some players are still yet to hit the portal, so it's a waiting game for the dominos to drop for "top" talent. Time to be patient even though we cannot.
Go Vols
If he's healthy is the most important part of that statement.Makes perfect sense. Heupel likes to use two TEs. Davis is guaranteed to be one of the two and a transfer would be the other guy. Not sure what you want the coaches can do about it--NIL is here to stay. Some people in any organization (NFL, business) are always jealous of others who make more. It's up to the coaches to manage the locker room and tell a kid who's overplaying his NIL hand to hit the road.I wonder how that’s going to affect the locker room next year?
He can’t leave soon enough, it’s killing us.Sounds like McCoy is gone. Good job Willie, ****ing dumbass
We got the young talent now and we have 4 more coming inHe can’t leave soon enough, it’s killing us.
Volnation: we need talent.
WM: Keeps same players and never plays younger ones to see if any are better
Everyone leaves and we have minimal DBs
Volnation: we are fine with no depth and willie is great.
Funny how his DBs do way better in the nfl than in college
Memphis, you know just as good as I do how this ends
I wouldn’t have let dude leave without committing
Three 4*DBs and one 3*, gotta like that.We got the young talent now and we have 4 more coming in
That gives us what, 10 soph or freshmen dbs
You can’t say play the young guys when that’s all we now have and then bitch about not getting portal players to play over them
I don’t like CWM either but these are his recruits now and I’m interested to see how he does with his guys
