Dude just stop overreacting to a guy wanting to take more visits. That’s what the transfers tend to do. We will get who we want we just gotta be patient. Alabama hasn’t gotten anybody in the portal yet either, and that’s because they want to retain their roster like us. I think the teams that prioritize current players on the roster will end up being better in the long run. Teams that stack up portal guys will be better in the short term. Also, we are targeting portal guys who have multiple years still to play. We haven’t gone after many one year rentals.
A&M already has two guys silent commit to them, both DBs. I wonder who they are?Dude just stop overreacting to a guy wanting to take more visits. That’s what the transfers tend to do. Listen man that’s not how it always works, and “silent commit” doesn’t always mean “silent commit”. I see you in the basketball recruiting talk and the football recruiting talk and you get really excited about certain guys and that’s ok, but in all reality most of those guys aren’t going to end up here. Last year we got some really solid transfer portal additions, and a lot of them were low key. Also, several of them are back for a second season! Campbell, Thornton, karic, Pili, etc. My point in all this is that we don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes, and we just hear what VQ and 247 knows. A good example is the DB from MTSU that was going to visit and then ended up committing to Oregon State. I don’t think that was his choice. I think we are pretty sure we have better guys on the line that we can get, so I’m just trying to be patient like the rest of volnation lol. I’m hoping Dingle or Staes pulls the trigger this weekend, because both of those guys would be solid portal additions. We will start getting guys soon though.A&M already has two guys silent commit to them, both DBs. I wonder who they are?
You get a kid like that on campus, you lock them down.

Yeah, we need to add some playmakers, no doubt. I’m really glad we’ve been able to keep a lot of players too, but we have too many holes to stand pat.If we had Bama's or Georgia's talent level, I'd much rather be in that group. But we don't have Bama's or Georgia's talent level.

One was Will Lee, the other? I wonderrr, maybe the guy visiting them?

(Back to the original point...) Which probably hurt their feelings.coaches wanted some of them but didn’t want to pay the price for them. Wouldn’t really call that telling them to go somewhere, more like mutual parting of ways
Come on Weezer ... The principle in play is "Think about, bring about." We do not want to be running around like our hair is on fire ... that leads off into a really bad environment. If we had Bama's or Georgia's talent level, I'd much rather be in that group. But we don't have Bama's or Georgia's talent level.
Ya….i was talking about our approach which is to take care of ours first vs their approach which is to buy outsiders. Not sure what you want the coaches can do about it--NIL is here to stay. Some people in any organization (NFL, business) are always jealous of others who make more. It's up to the coaches to manage the locker room and tell a kid who's overplaying his NIL hand to hit the road.
