He’s a RSFR, this would be his 3rd year in a college S&C program, and he was right there in the beginning of camp with everyone else. Lane had 4 years on him and so naturally he is probably stronger and more disciplined than Nichols. Karic is a year or two older so same thing. OL is a developmental position and by many accounts, Nichols was close on many occasions to getting into the mix. Plus its less depth so I hate that anyone who might be seen as a possible contributor to leave atp, especially when there’s not a ton of other options at Guard. Why would it be a huge disappointment if he does leave?
Hard for me to be upset about losing a guy that Ollie Lane kept off the field. He’s a RSFR, this would be his 3rd year in a college S&C program, and he was right there in the beginning of camp with everyone else. Ollie was good in the run game. Probably more physical than most other options. Point I was making is Ollie is gone and Nichols was still a RsFr so not sure how anyone can be mad that a RsFr wasnt starting over a 6th year senior. With another offseason in the program, he’ll be 20 years old and maybe ready to contribute. Not many players can play in the trenches at 18-19 years old. I think it’s unfair to expect it.Hard for me to be upset about losing a guy that Ollie Lane kept off the field.

Well, speculating but perhaps Spraggins is going to return for another year and he doesn't want to play behind him again? You would think even if Spraggins returned Nichols would have a shot starting at LG. I think most have been surprised he wasn't in the rotation this year. Why is he leaving or why am I disappointed?
Agreed on Sprag. Hopefully he’s back.Well, speculating but perhaps Spraggins is going to return for another year and he doesn't want to play behind him again?
