Vols Transfer portal tracker (updated daily)

Not portal related, but just saw on my news feed that Elijah Robertson, a 6'4" linebacker from Cross Plains has decommitted from Kentucky. His rating is 92 on a scale of 100 by 247 sports. The article says that would make him the 130th rated prospect overall, and the 12th rated linebacker. Sounds like someone Tennessee should be interested in.

I am not adding wants/wishes/please get names (Lawrence, Seaton), as they used to say on Dragnet, "Just the facts," ... I have included 'relatively' reliable unsupported rumored visits ... shoot me a line if you have more definitive info and I will update accordingly:
Departing Transfers: Offers to Free Agents/Visits
CB - Warren Burrell ->DT - Marley Cook (MTSU) -> Visits: Miami 12/8; Ohio State 12/15-16
CB - Brandon Turnage ->C/OL - Remington Strickland (TAMU) ->
S/DB - Jack Luttrell ->TE - Justin Joly (UCONN) (Visiting???) ->
OL - Mo Clipper, Jr ->TE - Holden Staes (ND) -> (Unsupported Rumor? Visiting 12/9???)
OL – Addison Nichols ->WR- ’Juice’ Wells (USCe) -> (Unsupported Rumor? Visiting 12/9???)
OL - Connor Meadows (PWO) - >
LB - Mekhi Bigelow (PWO) ->

Thanks for your efforts!!!

Can I respectfully recommend two columns: (Maybe something like)

Departing Transfers: Offers to Free Agents
CB- Warren BurrellDT -Marley Cook (MTSU)
CB- Brandon TurnageC/OL - Remington Strickland (TX A&M)
S- Jack LuttrellTE - Justin Joly (UCONN) (Visiting???)

Would just like to see both those going OUT and who might be coming IN.

Good thinking. Folks get a little panicky around here.

Agreed bud.......really like the offers so far (especially the CT TE) but would love to see a lockdown DB with speed (especially if he gets his head around 😬)
Thought I saw Keyshawn Lawrence entered the portal… he transferred after Pruitt got canned. Maybe he could come back? Not sure if he was one of the guys who took money or not.

Ya, if only they got paid millions to do it...
They do...they ALL do. But, writing checks doesn't make it so. I think it will prove in the future that you need to excel in 3 ways regarding roster...retaining talent, frosh recruiting, portal talent...all while doing the job you're hired to do which is to establish culture and win football games. I think we've got a good one in JH...seems balanced. Think some coaches, like maybe Dabo will be passed by.

Its starting to sound a lot like there will only be a handful of open spots. I don't know who else might transfer out atp, but there's chatter the Big O, ONL, Eason, and possibly Simmons all come back.

So now we need Coop, Campbell, and Sprag to announce they are all coming back and that will solidify the lines. That would open up opportunities for some skill position guys.

AP also said Staes/TE from ND was a possibility

I'd like to see them go after a CB myself. But maybe they have faith in the youngsters or maybe they haven't found anyone they like more. Kinda a head scratcher tbh
Cain also said we were looking at the TE from Notre Dame as well. Seems like he’s been offered.

I keep waiting for it to be official. Not sure what the holdup is. Starting to wonder if they just take Joly and hope Davis and Echols can fill in the gaps.

This whole business of managing the portal while maybe trying to play a bowl game and finish frosh recruiting class has got to be maddening for coaches.
Makes me wonder if "Portal Coordinator" is a thing yet

Are there any programs out there that run similar scheme tempo that we can steal veteran OLmen from? That group is my biggest question mark this offseason.

I agree with you. I was just giving you a bit of a hard time because I refuse to feel sorry for college coaches having to do their jobs.

Yeah, to me, I think it's more than just stats...the difficult part is having someone who fits team culture to truly contribute vs someone who just has a stat sheet that looks good or someone looking for PT. I'm not entirely sure I was overly excited about Barnes' portal additions to the roster, but it's evident to me now that they fit. Same thing here w/ JH...getting guys who fit the bill to make us better at every position of need.
