Both, but this team has sucked in the half court, on both ends, since Pearl and Jones arrived. We've had intermittent success becAuse wehad otherworldly 3 point shooting early and played some D in spurts. Otherwise, the half court stuff, FT shooting, etc have been problems.

Hm. I can agree with that assessment for the most part. The thing I don't get is if we're so poorly coached how do we beat these great teams? Would that not be where our biggest flaws are exposed?

And I swear if we beat UConn I am going to pull out my hair.

Goins is awful. We still have no half court offense, and I put a lot of that blame on him. All he can do is dribble the ball and run out the clock or get himself into trouble and put up a bad shot. Guy drives me insane.

This just isn't a good team until we get our best players on the floor, and the ball in their hands. Trae Golden is a better point guard than Melvin Goins from the moment he stepped on campus. Goins is a backup. Plain and simple. Same goes for Brian Williams. This team will not win with those two players in the starting lineup.

We stand around on offense and either throw it away or try and create a one on one....if we try to create a one on one, we then decide whether to pump fake & take the 3 or drive wildly to the basket.

That is our strategy.....

Lofton and Jajuan really did mask our halfcourt ineptitude for a while.

I have seen church league teams with better halfcourt strategy.

Exactly. It's an asinine strategy when you struggle to create baskets as much as we do. I don't care what the score is or how much time is on the clock, we should be trying to get a shot from the second we get the ball. We are too bad to do otherwise.

They don't have anyone that they can depend on for points in the paint. They miss Wayne pretty bad. I miss Tyler Smith's defensive intensity. This team has a bunch of bodies. It's Harris, Hopson and Tatum or bust for the Vols. There isn't anyone else to count on for points.

I never felt at any point in the game that we could or would win this game. this team is not fun to watch nor do I believe that they will get much better.

I just think it is ironic that Coach Pearl complained about not having Maymon for the PITT and Oakland game and ever since that Pitt game ,it is like a totally different team
