These are not Dooley project 3 and 4*s. They are highly sought after by big time programs and a number of them bleed orange like no other class before them. Freshman in college football over the last few years have made huge impacts for their teams. Kind of like college basketball players now days.
You want to go tell that to Todd Kelly or Dillon bates? They will refuse to go down in Norman.
I've been watching OU play for 35 years and I really cannot remember a single time when an opposing true freshman came into Norman and made a big difference. In the third game of a freshman year, Stoops will be delighted to see either of these guys you reference on the field.
I do believe Tennessee is turning the corner and that the game in 15 that UT hosts will be closer, but the types of guys you refer to are not proven free agents; they are freshmen. True freshmen almost never make a real difference in big time football. I agree with the poster above...if anyone believes this incoming class will make a huge difference in 14 they'll be calling for CBJ head by October. Players have to develop. Fans need to wait. It'll get worse before it gets (a lot) better.
Based on what?
Any reason other than just "because they go to the university of tennessee?"
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I though I read Tennessee is the only team in the nation to lose all five starters on its offensive line.
Stoops. He's the weak link. OU has lost games they should have won. We very well may lose, but I would not be surprised one bit to beat them.
