Vote For Dillon Bates (Round 2)

voting as often as I can sneak them in - how do I check his status vs the competition?

There is a vote count on the upper right hand side. Currently Dillon is at 39.9 and the girl is at 41.5. If you click on the "back to group list" button then you can scroll down and click on the other other ones to see the actual vote count number.

I started a new thread because I hope to get discussion.

There are over 3000 users on VolNation right now and YOU have let Dillon Bates fall behind a high school soccer girl. Surely no more than her team, parents, and some school friends are voting for her.

You come on here, the Recruiting Forum, of the largest VOLS fan base website and ignore a thread where you can vote for Dillon Bates to win the second round of the USA TODAY/AISCS Ultimate Athlete contest by voting, say 50 or 100 times. There are several upsides to winning this for Dillon.
Not the least is how the USA TODAY article will break in the national news and the good will in future recruiting.

And voting? It's easy, I've probably voted AT LEAST 1,000 times over the last 2 days. Ten minutes here, 20 minutes there when I take a break.

It's easy, but OH NO, it seems most 'fans' would rather ignore Dillon's contest and pi$$ and moan about the coaches, who's getting recruited, the W/L record and how you deserve more as a 'fan'.

What kind of a fan are you if you can't/won't support Dillon in this contest? He was one of the first to commit and helped recruit the rest of this legacy class. He's already started giving his all for Tennessee and you won't even do a simple thing for him?

You don't deserve Dillon Bates, or the rest of this legacy class. If I was a recruit and saw that the 'fans' wouldn't even support a fellow recruit I'd seriously reconsider. The VOLS can't be that 'best fan base in CFB' can they?

Or, you could Vote!

Don't worry we're gaining ground.

Thanks!! more votes coming - the Boss is gone... Many votes needed for his Dad's interception in the '85 Bama game

Dillon is in the lead again, but keep going. We need to pad the lead in case her supporters launch another sneak attack tonight.

Vote

We're barely ahead. I think it only lets you vote a certain number of times because it won't even give me a code to enter.

I will check back later and see if I can vote again.

Keep up the vote, and thanks to all of those who were voting with me.

All you have to do is hit the "Refresh" button up top.

:disappointed: lmao til I :pukeb:

:Bbiteme:you :furious3:

Turn in your fan cards!

You do realize that it's just a contest, right? Pretty sure a guy as highly touted as Dillon and with such a bright future is going to be just fine losing to a girl that just had half of her spine fused together but started playing her favorite sports again 6 months before the doctors said she would have any chance.

Still voting for her.

Ohh that's soooo sweet. You schooling me on it's just a contest. I'm no stranger to back surgery and I just have to say, So what ... how many of our recruits have gone through orthopedic surgeries. She's an athlete, she takes her chances like any other one of them. :cray:But you obviously get a tear in your eye and are sooo moved by the "I got hurt an overcome so I deserve it story".

Every one of the kids who are in or have been in this contest have a story to tell, and they ALL really do deserve it. And they all have valid reasons to be in the contest and it would be really nice if they all could take back to their school the swag and booty, but they can't all win can they.

Dillon is a Volunteer. He is ours. Vote how you will. Your pity karma may bite ya in the rear some day.
