Tennessee offensive lineman Vysen Lang announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon.

Tennessee football’s depth chart listed Lang as a co-backup at center with true freshman William Satterwhite behind All-SEC super senior Cooper Mays. Lang entering the portal makes Satterwhite the clear early favorite to start at center for Tennessee next season.

Lang was not expected to start next year. Satterwhite passed him on the depth chart in fall practice and always came in before him in blowouts. Max Anderson was also on the verge of passing him. Lang is leaving because he's a non-factor.

Probably 2 each IMO. For what its worth, the 23 and 24 classes were heavy on Oline. We have lots of young talent there like Satterwhite, Warren, Gunther etc. Also...this 2025 class (about 20 of which are early enrollees that will be on campus in a couple weeks) has 5 FIVE Dline players ranked in the Top300. Thats NOT counting near 5* and top50 player Isaiah Campbell from NC who is expected to commit tomorrow. He would make 6 guys...3 or 4 of which are ranked in the top 150 players in the country. This 2025 defensive line haul is HUGE and the class in general is the best in at least 20 years. Monster class in 25 signing tomorrow.

^^^ 2025 guys. Does NOT include Smith who is currently committed to us but probably goes to Barn, we may still land him.

This 2025 class is gonna give us the best Dline in the nation again in probably 26 and 27 IMO.

Coach Garner and Coach Chop are worth their weight in gold. As recruiters, teachers, and motivators. Guys come back from the pros/adulthood to see them all the time. We have the best Dline coaches in FBS, and we need to do whatever it takes to keep them in their roles. This is the best scoring defense since 1999...and that doesnt count the pick6 vs NCSU or turnovers inside FG range that all but guaranteed points for the other team. Our defense is dominant. #4 in the nation allegedly, but we have played 8 SEC games. This is a Championship defense. Maybe the offense can do their part and help us win these next 4 games.

Welcome to the NIL world we live in. Player was probably told, the funds just weren't there, being that far down on the depth chart. And he has an offer from another school that has NIL funds for him. I get it.. Vols need to secure the 2 best cornerback tandem I've seen in a long time. Vols will have to ante up, to keep them. Once again, welcome to NIL!😀
