I'm not sure Patterson or Peterson are in play here, rumor is that Peterson is being announced today at Arky. Right now it looks like Gundy or Strong. But to answer your question, they're all proven big time winners, not sure what the cons for them would be, they're all great coaches. Strong would probably be the best fit of the 3 IMO, because he's been in the SEC before, as DC at Florida. Peterson would be the worst fit, he's been in the northwest for so long, he'd basically be starting from scratch in the SEC with his recruiting ties. I think as long as there's a hire before the middle of December we'll be ok, January is when recruiting really heats up.

He has not proven anything. He lost to two teams this year which were worse than any teams to which we lost. He is a hot head and has difficulty in communicating with the AD and school Administrators. We can not afford to hire a coach with the unknowns he has. He can probably recruit some 4-5 star players, but so did Kiffin.

Thanks for that.... I see your point, yet even on this thread more seem to oppose than support the Strong hire... but the big question isn't so much about Strong as it is about exactly "who" does Hart have in mind.... and I believe he has clue....

Good coach. Hope he can coach and recruit us to a SEC title. Its been a dry spell of 14 years. If Gundy another good coach hope he can win here to. Whatever happened to all the Jimbo talk? Thought Hart and him were good buddies. Would Hart try and hire Fedora?

Arky hired Bielema this afternoon Malzahn to Auburn. what say ut? We are definitely on the clock now. Strong will win here, winning record as head coach, great recruiter, one of the best DC the SEC ever had. Gundy may succeed here but have more faith in Strong to get it done.

Is it me or did the Arkansas hiring Wisconsin's coach come straight outta left field?? That's a name I don't think I've heard anyone float around as available??

Good. I'd would have hated them to get him and us not try. I wish we could get him.
