In this case the college student was simply drinking alcohol and he was under 21. He was not intoxicated as there is another offense for this! He was not driving. By the way, I have a problem with anyone intoxicated regardless of age driving a vehicle. Intoxicated also means high on alcohol, THC, pills, meth, etc. This is a STUPID charge that does nothing but appease MADD and even more importantly makes money for the city or county! Now this kid has a CRIMINAL RECORD for doing what 97% of college students do. Just plain dumb!!!!!

I know everyone wants to win at all costs, but how many more walk-ons with troubled pasts can we afford to take??

Not a big deal. I'm sure he wasn't causing any harm, just ran into KPD at the wrong place and time. I got a MIP freshman year for not even having alc on me and behaving fine. A cop approached me and asked me if I had any alcohol during the night. The naive freshmen I was at the time, I figured being honest would work in my favor with KPD. He then wrote me a MIP.

I remember during my court day the judge pretty much laughed at my "crime". He told me not to get arrested for 30 days and pay a 97 dollar fine. That's all it amounted too.

Its not like Most kids don't go off to College; use fake ID's and consume alcohol. Give the kid a break. He will learn from this and go on to be a Mechanical Engineer!! Looks like he was a very solid high school player.

Was hoping it wasn't him.. I dated his sister in high school. Good kid ,good family.. Hope he gets his act together and gets another opportunity.

I agree count...It's crazy.

Another thing I've never understood is why we tax their military wages? We dont pay em much to bigin with. Every dollar they get is from money collected from US taxpayers. Why take some back?

Just be glad he didn't have a handful of frozen crab legs!!
