walk-on Jacob Gilliam bidding for Tiny's LT spot

Weren't you claiming that you "knew" that Dobbs was #2 on the depth chart a week or two ago?

You can't call someone a bust after one (true freshman) season. Dobbs obviosuly wasn't ready to play and was our only healthy QB. He still has 3 years to leave his mark.

People tend to forget that Dobbs had an injury to his throwing hand, jury SHOULD still be out on him.

Dobbs could end up being great. He has all the tools, but time will tell if football is his main focus in life. He may have no desire to play QB in the NFL, which would show in his college game. Honestly, I can't imagine Dobbs in the NFL. Not that I don't believe he can be good enough, I just don't see him going that route.

I think Ferg wants it bad, I just have doubts that he's good enough. Now, this is based off hunch and only seeing him play in the Spring game, but even last year, I didn't see big time qb play in his film. Not sure what it was exactly, but it seems like he could be Bray Jr.

Peterman... Jim Bob

In the end, I think it will play out like this:

Worley
Dobbs
Recruit 1
Recruit 2

Peterman ends up graduating, Ferg ends up transferring.

I agree about Dobbs probably not going pro, but I don't think that will negatively factor into his play much. He wants to be a great college QB and will work hard to do it. He just also has a career path that isn't football. If anything, we wot have to worry about him saving anything for the NFL. He doesn't have to protect his future on the field: he's gonna design airplanes or something like that. That just means he can go balls to the wall without worrying about draft stock.
