It's important to remember he could always jump out of the portal if he doesn't find the right fit. Nothing wrong with seeing what's out there.

they are pursuing Thornton from Oregon, hard. He would immediately jump Walker. # 10 had already passed him. Heupel offense limits reps if you aren't starting and Walker feels he could start somewhere.. starting better than getting a few more reps.

Yeah good kid with great potential. Why he wants to move on. Unsure when he gets a lot more reps here.

Not sure the reasoning either. He should be top 4 WR in this offense next year and may even have a shot at starting. And this is definitely an offense that I think you're better off working hard and "waiting your turn" as a WR than going elsewhere. See Tillman. Went from being completely off the radar of NFL scouts to potentially being a 1st round pick.

First one of the bunch that disappoints me. Thought he had lots of potential. Just the new normal I guess. If the player doesn’t see immediate playing time (within a year or so), this is what we should get used to. They aren’t going to wait several years like Tillman did.

Typically played 5 when all were healthy..Tillman,Hyatt,McCoy,White and Keyton. If we get the Oregon guy he immediately would be in our top 3-4. Wish Walker would stay, especially with Tillman and Hyatt gone.

Doubt this..If we get Thornton he will be top 4 with White,Bru and Keyton..Plus 21 classes WR's and Leacock. Wish he would stay but he's not cracking the top 5 with what we already have.

Really like Merrill. Good hands and caught everything thrown his way. Best of luck to him if he goes. There's a lot of talent coming in.

Not at all..McCoy,White,Keaton,Webb,Nimrod,Leacock plus Thornton or whatever portal guy we add. If it was bad, the Coach's would be hitting the portal for numerous WR's..Plus Seldon could play WR or RB.

Agreed. He definitely could start somewhere. I was just hoping it would be here and he would have a great career.

Doubtful. Of the remaining WRs, he's probably #4 and would very likely be in the rotation next season even if we bring in someone else. And I think both Bru and Keyton are gone after '23, right? So he'd have a very good shot at starting in '24.
