I choose not to. I do not use it for fear of theft. 99% of retailers will let you run it as credit, my bank nor visa charge any fees for this. It still comes out of the same account as debit would, just bypasses the need for a PIN.

Aldi's is truly ghetto, quarter for your cart, no bags, and they have name brands you've never heard of like Bob's Bakery.

Its not ghetto. Its called eliminating overhead expenses and sacrificing some convenience to keep prices way low.

A quarter for your cart is odd. Sam's Club does not have bags. Do you consider them ghetto as well?

As stated before, the qtr is used as a "key" to lock and unlock the buggies. You get it back when you return the buggy when finished.

I used to think the same thing...but have realized better.

I'll dole out a quarter for a cart and bring my own bag to save $30 on a half a cart of groceries.

How about their meat? I've seen several posts about cheaper produce and such, just wondering about meat prices.

Prices are great (and quality...as I said in earlier post, all USDA Choice). I buy 95% lean ground beef for under $5 per pound... the same for skirt steak (which is $8 per pound at Publix)...baby backs are usually $2 per pound. I have bought strips and bone in ribeyes a time or two - I think $7 per pound if I remember correctly.

If I'm grilling filets, I will buy those at Publix or Fresh Market so I can get them cut like I want.
