Want to continue sucking? Then don't hire Bruce back

So the guy who took much less talented teams to the NCAA 6 times in 6 years would do a much worse job with a much more talented roster than the guy who's about to be 0-3 in getting UT there? Is that about how you see it?

WHAT? Less talented? Seriously? Did you start watching basketball yesterday and decide to read up on Bruce Pearl or something? WOW

What about losing to oakland with a number 7 ranking?

Not really getting too much into this argument. But that Oakland squad was nice that year.

Its in Dave Harts best interest to hire Bruce Pearl as UTs next basketball coach......

He should have never lost his job in the first place. Penalized? YES!!! Fired? NO!!!! Show-caused? Absolutely not!!!!!

Bruce isn't coming back...............but if you think that Martin is the answer then you all are SADLY mistaken! Do I think we have the talent to be an elite 8 team? No! Sweet 16? Maybe! But I do know we are 4 wins better than we are showing. We are poorly coached and all I see on the court is street ball at its worst! JMO.............

Well that wasn't a big game so obviously that doesn't count.Pay attention.
That game was HUGE. It carried the momentum for the rest pf the season, if we would have won that we wouldn't have lost two more to Charlotte and College of Charleston. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Yet trolls are out pissing and moaning about losing @UK yet the guy they keep chanting for was 4-9 against UK.

The pissing and moaning would be a lot less audible if it weren't for two straight missed tourneys and a lot of underachieving. Losing at Rupp happens but its hard to argue that this program is heading in a good direction.

In that case, he would have won other games that have been losses. Pearl wouldn't miss the tournament. He's proven that. Pearl was 6-0 making the tournament here and Martin is about to be 0-6 "making" the tournament in his career.

Yeah, but Martin is great at making the NIT. He's an expert at that.

Its funny you people always talk about the winning with Bruce pearl, but rarely do I ever read about some tough losses with bruce at the helm. I think bottom line is we need more playmakers.

What's your argument here? Are you trying to tell me Bruce Pearl wasn't a good coach? Yea he lost a few games.. It happens.

Bruce Pearl had no idea whatsoever about how to coach offense. If we didn't make a transition dunk or three, we waited 33.5 seconds and jacked up a three from half court. It's all he knew. This roster is not engineered to run, it's built to win in half court. Pearl would be clueless as to how to use it, Kentucky would have prevented the transition today and beat us by 26, and Pearl would be 6-11 because unless he has a transition based team he is totally clueless.

That's the issue with this board. People believe you either got to be on the Martin train or the Bruce train. Some of us are on neither one. Bruce is not a good coach and Martin is even worse.

If you think Oakland is a "big game" in the scale of this program then that shows me what kind of acumen I'm talking to. I bet you think the loss to AP in Martin's first year was "huge" too.

Please elaborate.

Pearl was 4-9 against UK, with 1 of those wins at Rupp his first year.

But please, tell me how he would magically win today considering he took much better teams into Rupp and lost.

Probably wouldn't have won today. Who knows? Bruce's teams played with tons of intensity and that couldve won the game today.

The more accurate argument would be that a Bruce Pearl led team this year would only have 3/4 losses, imo, to this point......
