I was a deputy for three years and I'd advise you to look into a different profession .. I still wake up at night and see this four year old girl who died on me . You deal with drunks mainly .. That's what you'll do more than anything .. And if you're cognizant enough .. You'll recognize the changes the job produces in you .. The whole world can seem like either scroats or holster sniffers .. Ride as a reserve for a good while first

No doubt you will deal with horrible situations but the job is rewarding.

This will be my last comment since you have been placed on ignore.

If myself or any of the above officers pulled you over, you couldn't tell the difference between any of us. That is until you became the jackass that you are and my only comment would be, "sign here and press hard, makes multiple copies and I would smile when returning my patrol car.:hi:

Bolded comment only reaffirms what so many on this board believe about you. Jacka$$ copper.

And you are right - I can't tell the difference between coppers when they pull me over. I don't know if its a copper who truly is out to protect and serve or a copper looking to boost his own self-esteem by flashing a shiny badge. I'll give them the same respect they give me. Having a gun and a shiny badge doesn't put you above anyone else in this world.

But - i can see which copper you are. You like to try and be a bully but don't like anyone standing up to you, so you hide behind "ignore". Classy. Be a man, even if you are the stereotypical copper.

:hi:

Getting a family out of a burning mini van, stopping an active shooter at a high school, helping disabled vehicles get help, safety talks, car seat installations, christmas drive, to many to name, why?

Are you implying that you've done all of that or that its just a general list?

Just curious - alot of coppers try to focus only on the fact they are always in danger on a daily basis. They focus on the danger side of things for some reason.

You are one of few I see who talks about actually serving the people.

Just curious is all - thanks for the answer.

And my apologies that you are associated with the likes of Punky.

Bama - would you care to "quote" post number 55 for Punky's viewing pleasure since he is hiding behind the ignore button like a coward??

I hear you. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for the state/local guys. Toughest job in the country, IMO. I get to work on a task force every day with those guys, and we couldn't do it without them.
The feds that got their start on the street have a greater respect for said street.....

Comes with the territory, something you live with and strive to change. Ive been apart of a department where professionalism lacked.....no reason for it.
