War in Ukraine

Yes. Very mild in fact. You may not have been around during the 70s oil embargo but we were having double digit inflation, gas stations were limiting gas if they had any. People were lining up for blocks just to buy a couple of gallons. Energy prices were rising daily. The President even ordered a national wage and price freeze. People like you thought America was finished and that OPEC was now in control of our every day lives. We came out of it stronger than when we went in.

You think we have drug problems today? I guess you don't remember Reagan's War on Drugs either.

Feel free to google: Reagan's War on Drugs, OPEC Oil Embargo and Reagans Wage and Price Freeze. Then decide for yourself if things are worse today.
Reagan's War on Drugs was a massive waste of money and gave us diminished civil liberties and militarized police. Our drug problems are worse today than then. But remember 'just say no',
Our national debt, divided populace, politicians, and corruption problems are worse today too. And we have a chance at a worse economy.

In your opinion, how many combat KIAs can the translator’s administration suffer before it becomes a problem?
I'm not sure. To them, this Ukraine situation is an existential threat to their country, meaning that NATO and the West, if they continue to push east, will eventually threaten Russia and throw it back into the failed status that it was in the 1990s under Yeltsin. Only this time, they will go all out into breaking up Russia and destroying their culture. The West does a poor job of understanding just how important Ukraine is. And, the West has zero consideration for the security concerns of Russia, yet countries like the US, Israel, Turkey and Saudi Arabia can make all kinds of military moves that are justified by their particular security concerns and the whole world is supposed to simply oblige them.

Those days and that level of hypocrisy are coming to an end... and it would be good for humanity, including us here in America because it would help to bring an end to our MIC and war based foreign policy that has driven us to the verge of bankruptcy/insolvency. It will also kill the entire green agenda movement as the normies on Main St USA realize that for now (for now, not saying never), we do not have a practical substitute for fossil energy or nuclear power. The leaders running the West are all incompetent... not a statesman or pragmatist in the entire lot. They care more about advancing their agenda than they do the immediate needs of the people in their own countries. The only true nationalists and pragmatists out there are Putin, Xi, Modi, Orban and maybe a handful of others that are starting to breakaway from this wicked Western system.

Oh, and it isn't just about economics. We here in the West have a wicked culture that needs to be destroyed with all of the grooming of kids, LGBTQ+ nonsense and the destruction of the traditional nuclear family. None of the leaders in the West are pushing and promoting these values. That is another reason why the West needs to fail in their endeavours. They are the enemies of humanity.

Cool story, bro.

Because they care more about Ukraine than America.
No. Bc you two seem to think people can't walk and chew gum. Secondarily our system of government wants senators involved in foreign affairs. It's like you, and the other pos, don't understand their rolls as outlined.

We can't afford to fight yet another war in a country halfway around the world and maintain what we need to do here in America you dimwit! And truth be told, its obvious based on our debt levels that we couldn't afford to do it before now.

And, with regards to senators... their main and primary focus right now over any and all other things should be America and not some country halfway around the globe.

You definitely can't prove anything is better. Those stats I provided is more than enough evidence it's worse.
I didn't know I was trying to prove anything to you. You're the one with his hair on fire. We've been through many difficult times before. What's going on now is fairly mild and it will pass. And stats? What stats? You've only posted two numbers: 107,000 dead addicts and $40B for Ukraine. What is your point?

He will really ignore you when you point Russias own central bank forecasts. It's laughable the way they gloat. The Russian government admits they are screwed.

Your hair has been on fire ever since this invasion started. Which in reality does not have an effect on us at all. Just something for you and your fellow Ukrainian bots to cheerlead and virtue signal about. When it's all said and done you will feel exactly how Yankees fans felt after game 7 of the 2004 ALCS.

You and others simply care more about Ukraine than what's happening in our own borders. It's really quite sad.

By the way. You're the one who stated the problems that occurred during the Carter and Reagan administrations. That means we've done nothing as a country to try and fix these problems in the last 40 to 50 years. So yeah they are way past being fairly mild like you claim.

Best "Pot calling the kettle black" moment of this thread yet!

Still believe that BS I see.

Over half of Repubs now believe the 2020 Presidential election was stolen, I believe Putin has video of Trump with prostitutes. Both positions have the same factual basis. Based on my girl Stormy Daniels and 5 other porn stars who claim to have had sex with Trump, the Putin story is more likely true than the assertion that the election was stolen. Zero proof of that.

Seems like a lot of tanks. How many does Russia even have?

"Tanks" can cover a lot of different armored vehicles and the Russians use a lot of light tanks whereas we don't. Most people think of the Abrams as the classic tank (and it has been a helluva' tank especially considering the basic design is almost 40 years old). But there are a lot of armored vehicles that get classified as tanks such as tank destroyers. A lot of countries have wheeled armoured vehicles with 90 mm or even 110 mm guns on them that are probably classified as tanks but a lot of them are like the Italian Centaro. (They hate having the treaded vehicles tearing up their roads.) They are called tanks but they are not designed to exchange fire with a front line tank except in hit and run operations.

Plus I've read that they have brought up a lot of really old tanks, dating back to the 60's especially now that the Ukrainians are using frontline NATO artillery. Can't afford to lose their top of the line equipment. But the Russians never throw anything away. They use the piece of equipment until it just doesn't work anymore or else they store it until they need it or it rusts away. When I went on my first deployment they were still using Whiskey class electric subs that were 30 years old and MIG 19s as air defense aircraft on the Kamchatka Peninsula.

American military doctrine for the last 80 years is based on advance until engagement, them hold while artillery and aircraft tear them apart, then advance. It's "send a bullet not a man." For the Russians, people have always been expendable, but equipment is precious.
