War in Ukraine

Plenty of Republican congressman have said it too before voting against spending at home as well.
Key word "Republican". However it was only Republicans that actually were opposed to the spending. Every single Democrat was in lockstep with the party. That's why I say Democrats are good at masquerading as helpers.

+250 to shut me up? Ukraine reading the thread?

LMAO. Good luck folks. This isn't going to end until Putler ends. No matter how bad you want it to.

Pffftt. Putin thinks Russia's just 'getting started' in Ukraine?

Given the Putin corps is rolling out T62 tanks from mothballs, when they run out of those, the Ruskies gonna ride in on horses with their swords ablazing?

Vlad gonna 'fall out a window' before the year-end.

Why are they in Ukraine and not South Carolina and Connecticut? Blumenthal should be trying to tackle the high crime rates in New Haven and Hartford instead.

Good point. God forbid we ever live in a world where isolationism isn't pure genius.

Seems like a lot of tanks. How many does Russia even have?

Per a September, 2020 *Russian* report:

The total number of combat units listed [in the publication] above is 2685 tanks. The total number of new and upgraded tanks (produced in 2000 and later) in combat units is about 1200 units or about 45 percent of the total, ”the report says.

So roughly 58% of Russian tanks are gone after 4 months of war, and likely, most of their newer/upgraded ones.

This estimate appears to be confirmed by the fact that Russia is *already* sending T-62 dinosaurs into Ukraine.

Russia's only tank manufacturer, Uralvagonzavod, halted production back in March.

Did I say anything about isolationism?

Plus white democrats love isolationism. Most would never dare step foot in the areas actually controlled by democrats. That's why many are now moving to red states.

Yes, you did. You stated:

"Why are they [Senators Graham and Blumenthal] in Ukraine and not South Carolina and Connecticut?"

Obviously, they are both in Ukraine because the US is affected by events in Ukraine and elsewhere. That's why they're there and not in CT/SC.

If you believe they have no business being there, then you're simply ignoring umpteen years of proof that isolationism is a failed concept.

The remainder of your statement is pure poppycock.

US senators have absolutely no legitimate business being in Ukraine.

How are we affected by events in Ukraine? We are not. And it's a fact that New Haven, CT has a rising crime problem and since the people of CT voted for Blumenthal then he should be working on that issue first.

Plus how are isolationism, or like PJ said, non-interventionism failed concepts? After WWII we have meddled in many conflicts that have turned out to be failures for us. So perhaps a new strategy is needed that involves us NOT getting involved in world affairs. I know that is a hard concept neocons and the religious followers of the democrat party to grasp.

This is why we thankfully live in a Republic rather than a Democracy, Hogg... to protect people like you from yourself.

WTF is that supposed to mean? Was that a long winded "I got nothing but feel like I need to say something"?

Heh. Subtlety failed, so here's the 2x4:

When you say "US senators have absolutely no legitimate business being in Ukraine", it is evident you know nothing about Congress or our political system or even how other nations - especially Ukraine these days - are important to our country for a multitude of reasons.

But, you be you, Hogg.
