The A-10 is one of the most survivable if not the most survivable aircraft to withstand AA damage. The aircraft is built around redundancy in power plants, control surfaces, lift areas, and hydraulics to name a few key points. There are plenty of pictures from the first gulf war of A-10s getting home missing an engine, a tail surface, or most of a wing blown away. It can take incredible punishment.

I don’t want to give them away either. But my reason is jealousy I don’t want anyone else to have the premier ground attack aircraft in the world and we can’t make them anymore. We’ve been trying to retire them for about 35 years now. They just won’t go away as they still have no peer.

A-10 fun fact of the day. When the gun is firing the igniters are firing on the engines also because the muzzle smoke from the GAU-8 is so bad it chokes out the air going to the engines so they have to continually reignite them while firing

2. Whataboutism. What other war crimes do we want to talk about? Hitler? Cambodia? America? etc, etc. Its irrelevant if they didnt happen in Putins 3 day (just kidding 5 month) special invasion war.

They always have trouble but more so now because of forced diversity for diversities sake. The FAA (where I work) is doing the same thing. They are getting way too many White straight males so they froze hiring while they think of a way to prevent that in the future. I wish them a "good luck with that".

Public advisory - the FAA is willing to sh!t on the flying publics safety in the name of diversity.

It's not just that. I mean what incentive is there in this day and age of enlisting in the military? You go in at 18 and you spend 4 or 5 years serving your country That's also 4 to 5 years now that someone is behind their peers.

Personally I would recommend most people at least get an Associates degree before they join the military. This way they at least have 2 years of college out of the way before they enlist.
