War in Ukraine

You gave the reason in your post and now you are on a rant. War sucks but there is no other strategy that would be winnable to them.

I got one. Don’t go to war with an incompetent military. You can avoid embarrassingly not achieving your goals while at the same time not seeing 10s of thousands of your boys get slaughtered. But nah, double down and believe you just need more soldiers.

But that is the reason they are there. LoL

You are stating the reason, so the bombing will continue. This really isn't complex.

True. They will continue to eat bombs. Maybe they can start drafting from Russian hospitals and elementary schools.

They will probably throw whatever it takes into there if they start to run low than the have warmer things to fall back on. The Ukraine is simply a spot on a map all parties have agreed is expendable. The real war is economic at this point with Europe.

Then why doesnt the fighting stop?

Why does Russia need the side war, if the real war will be won elsewhere? There is something to be said about not fighting on two fronts. Right now the Russians are fighting in the ground and this economic war. Ukraine is in a ground war. And the west is in an economic war. So they can spread it out. Russia is the only one fighting two fights. That rarely bodes well.

You’re not really expecting a coherent answer are you??

Because the other side hasn't determined how much of that country needs to be turned into a parking lot. (insignificant details)

The real war is economic.
If Russias real goal is the economic war now 0% more of Ukraine needs to be destroyed. 0 Ukrainians killed. Heck Russia could abandon all of its Ukrainian territory and still win the economic war. I would argue it would be easier as they wont have to rebuild or police those areas.

Russia is choosing real violence. Russia is choosing to fight on two fronts. The west is fighting them economically. Ukraine militarily.

And if the real war is economic why do they care about their "30 years of Ukraine strategy". That has nothing to do with the economies of the world.

I agree with the article I posted last week in which the Russians probably want it to cook slowly, of course, depending what is going on at the ground level... that isn't always possible. (enemy advancement) If people want to play war and proxy war, well, they aren't the ones to say when its over.

That has nothing to do with the economies of the world.

It has to do with teaching lessons. I have no idea what Europe thinks they are going to get out of all this... ole well, do what Uncle Sam says I guess.

Well if this is evidence of Russia's productive capacity, I like the west's chances.

Right now its just Russia vs Europe, although the war could expand. Meaning, with the fed tightening and the world not having enough dollars the whole system could break. I don't like anyone's chances if that were to happen, liquidation will imo be heaviest in Asia than Europe... but inner cities in the United States would become heavy liqudation zones... they already are, imo.

In theory, the United States can't really take care of itself, meaning manufacturing has left decades ago.... the United States prints money, the world send it valuable goods. Most of this can't be turned on with a switch, it would take many decades.

Its not a good situation for anyone. Most countries are going to have to hike into a recession (at best).

Because that is exactly what is being said in this thread. Ukraine should just role over and take it to save lives. We are making it worse by giving them the ability to defend themselves. You are right, it's disgusting, and it has to be pointed out how bad that argument is when it comes to Ukraine. Maybe now that it hits a little closer to home you wont be so quick to dismiss a people wanting to defend themselves no matter what it costs them.
I helped set up a curriculum for orphans to get a basic education there, which at least gave them a chance of not being sold into sex slavery or drug trafficking. Obviously now that is totally pointless. So no I don’t need any lewd remarks from you to “help it hit home.”
