War in Ukraine

As long as Putin is running things he's going to want to come out of this with a "we beat you", even if that means a nuke in Ukraine. Russia will still find buyers for their oil.

Energy war over the next few years if things don't escalate stupidly between Ukraine/Russia.
The Russians don't have a need to go nuclear. Their conventional stockpile is problematic enough for NATO/Kyiv.

Look for more escalation and desperation from The West. Looking at one last offensive by Ukraine in the next few weeks in the Zaporizhzhia/Kherson region and possibly the Kerch Bridge to be repaired within the next 4-6 weeks. The rail bridge is looking like it will be operational tomorrow, so fuel and supplies will not be much hampered. Meanwhile in Donbas/Donetsk, Bakhmut is likely going to move into Russian control and lead to finishing things off in Donbas.

I'm not sure how long Putin can remain patient, however. That is the wild card. He's done an amazing job thus far.

Have you asked yourself why they haven't done anything like that before now? Obviously, you believe that Russia is capable of doing it today. So is it not reasonable to think that they couldn't have done this 7 months ago?

They're just gonna start flailing now, blowing up stuff to calm the hawks down. Won't have any real military significance.

Lol. I did. Multiple times.

The victory parade? Cracking a cold beer on the white sandy beaches of Destin.

Try harder comrade.

Oh yeah, you won multiple wars against the Taliban. Mmm-hmm. That checks out. Didn't Arnold Schwarzeneggar say his father came home from war and cracked open a lot of cold ones too? It sounds like he was a real "winner" too.

Don't really agree with much you just said, however, I do think that there will be a really big push from Russia in the coming months from better troops.

Yep. Complete game changer which totally isolates Crimea and Kherson from resupply with all the territory regained in the east that impacts rail lines.

They've still got air and sea transport; but when it comes to quantity, it really is a game changer. Sea and especially air transport are riskier right now and subject to weather. Seems like when this bridges is really knocked out, Sevastopol should be high on the Ukrainian hit list.

Upon reading more they only took out one set of divided Highway lanes too. There are still two roadway lanes and the railway will be cleared off soon. Need to go back and finish the job!
