War in Ukraine

As long as Putin is running things he's going to want to come out of this with a "we beat you", even if that means a nuke in Ukraine. Russia will still find buyers for their oil.

Energy war over the next few years if things don't escalate stupidly between Ukraine/Russia.

If Ukraine did it or not, going to be interesting to see how Putin responds to this.

This is huge.
Yep. Complete game changer which totally isolates Crimea and Kherson from resupply with all the territory regained in the east that impacts rail lines.

You don't believe this. Putin has been exhibited far more patience than any other world leader out here. For 8 years, he hoped that the Minsk ceasefire agreements would have been implemented. And even when it finally came time to act in February, in stead of coming in like the US would have with shock and awe and leveling the entire country, their SMO is forcing the Russians to fight with restrain as much as possible to avoid too many civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure 7 months into this. Now, if the tempo changes going into winter, Russia could increase the intensity with conventional weapons without any need to go nuclear.

Keep in mind that Russia has no history of using nuclear weapons in a military conflict.

Putin could stab a baby on TV and you would have some dumbazz excuse like,
"Putin's scientists have a very advanced temporal wave tool that can glimpse into the future. That child was going to beat his wife. Putin stopped it!"

Patient? He issued a draft and his own countrymen to told him to go eff himself.
Because millions of Russians don't believe in his cause.

Hey Ras, tell us how many holes in one Putin got the first time he played golf.

NATOs head man has said multiple times that if Russia stops...the war ends.

But if Ukraine stops, then Ukraine ends.

No.

If Ukraine totally forces out Russian forces, why would they stop at thier own borders? If they are capable of completely overwhelming them to that degree, then they could invade Russia itself.
If they invaded Russia, that would actually minimize the nuclear threat of directly attacking the Ukrainian forces.
It INCREASES the chances of Nuclear threat on the Ukraine itself tho.

But their has to be a breaking point in this.
There's no way these two countries can live in peace next to each other after this...

Christmas. That's when Putin plans to use his nuclear arsenal...

Ok, so how does this all end? What are everyone's thoughts here?
Look for more escalation and desperation from The West. Looking at one last offensive by Ukraine in the next few weeks in the Zaporizhzhia/Kherson region and possibly the Kerch Bridge to be repaired within the next 4-6 weeks. The rail bridge is looking like it will be operational tomorrow, so fuel and supplies will not be much hampered. Meanwhile in Donbas/Donetsk, Bakhmut is likely going to move into Russian control and lead to finishing things off in Donbas.

I'm not sure how long Putin can remain patient, however. That is the wild card. He's done an amazing job thus far.

Russia definitely hits back. I think they do something in kyiv to government buildings.
Have you asked yourself why they haven't done anything like that before now? Obviously, you believe that Russia is capable of doing it today. So is it not reasonable to think that they couldn't have done this 7 months ago?
