War in Ukraine

BS, its Russia against NATO on the battlefield... not just Ukraine. And NATO is still running out of weapons and equipment while constantly telling us that Russia is on the verge of running out of weapons. And with the sanctions, confiscation of property and roughly $300 billion in reserves... and removing them from SWIFT, the Russians are cleaning the clocks of the EU/US on the financial battlefield.

The only facet of this conflict that Russia is being outclassed in is in the propaganda war.

Please, if NATO wasn't concerned over nukes and put a couple of combat divisions into the war (with its air superiority and close ground support) and there wouldn't be a Russian combat soldier alive on Ukrainian soil in about 3 weeks.

We could even do it with a couple of French divisions. Now that is pretty much as bad an insult as I can imagine since it is well known that every French military unit, all the way from squad level to the army as a whole, is issued white flags for their inevitable surrender.

The US struggled for two decades fighting goat herders in sandals and nearly as long fighting rice farmers in SE Asia.

Humanitarian intervention because the Russian-backed A-holes were killing ethnic minorities. Remind me, did NATO claim any territory for its member states in that conflict?

Ras also fails to mention it would have been a UN action if Russia and China hadn't blocked it. It's pretty handy for Russia and China having UN veto power when they are the two most likely to have UN disapproval of their aggressive actions.

The Russian's spent 8 years trying to allow diplomacy to work with the Minsk ceasefire agreements. meanwhile, Kyiv regime continued to bomb and attack the people of Donbas. Russia wasn't the one engaging in escalatory action... it was the US and NATO sending arms to Ukraine after overthrowing a democratically elected govt.

Funny that you would call that diplomacy considering your thoughts on "failed" diplomacy. Russia: "We want your land." Response: "You can't have it." Russia: "You don't understand. We WANT your land." Response: "No." Russia: "Vacate your land or we will take it from you." Response: "You can try." That's not diplomacy. Wouldn't even pass the lawyer sniff test - consideration for something given. Consideration does not equal not being attacked if you comply with a demand. That's a threat.

If Russia's true intent was to grab Donbas, they would have done it in 2014 when the two republics voted in referendums to break away from Ukraine and rejoin Russia.

And your "goat herders in sandals" and "rice farmers" weren't invaders. They were insurgents that were part of, and supported by, (much of) the population. Not a bunch of drunk Russians staggering down village streets stealing washing machines and raping women. The Russian marauders would be outted quickly by the Ukrainians and eliminated through precision strikes.

The people of Donbas asked the Russians to come in. The Russians, in turn, are simply following the Kosovo precedent set by NATO in 1999.

That is part of the team just as much as a coaching staff is with a football team.
How’d the Soviets do in Afghanistan Moe? A quick google tells me 15k dead in a decade. The US had less than 2500 total and under 2000 due to hostile fire in twice the time. And why were they there? Gay Nazi Afghans? NATO threatening admit Afghanistan as a member? 🤡

In a sport it's just a bad decision on the part of the coaches. When you are wasting lives unnecessarily through bad policy, it's criminal. To add insult to injury the Rules of Engagement set by politicians negate a lot of advantages built into the expensive equipment they deemed necessary when buying military hardware and weapons.

OK. Still doesn't take away from the fact that the leadership is incompetent, which can affect the performance of the troops.

You people want the coping mechanism if being able to say that the troops did their jobs, but that the US had poor leadership. OK.. meanwhile, the end result is still the same.

Pizz poor leadership + top notch military = loss of the war
