War in Ukraine

Ramzan Kadyrov with a wild sanctions story. WOW... The West has no shame... now they are horse thieves also?

Back in 2014, my Zazu became the first victim of sanctions targeting me, my family and the Team. The thoroughbred steed took upon himself this first heinous blow from the democratic West. Just think, adding a horse to the sanctions list...

Today it turns out that Zazu was stolen by unknown persons. How did this become possible? Was he being kept on some remote farm so they could pick him up so easily? Where is the security? Where are the gallant police with democratically efficient and advanced investigative techniques? In our republic, a car can be left open at night, and then someone takes the sanctioned horse out of the pen, and the law enforcement officers find out about it only after a few days.

And by the way, I ask you not to belittle the value of my horse. The media, according to the authorities, announced its cost at $18,000. Surely this artificial underestimation is connected with some financial fraud of those responsible for its maintenance and care, only a thoroughbred Zazu costs at least $ 10 million. Now, having learned its real price, someone will warm their hands well.

Basically, I don't believe in coincidence. Horse thieves are somehow unique: stupid to steal a sanctioned horse, and cunning so that the police do not find them. I do not believe. It's a shame that a beautiful and noble animal suffers. I'm worried that Zazu might fall into the wrong hands.

What sanction took his horse? He talks about it being a few days for the cops to figure out it was missing, doesn't sound like he knew it was missing, and apparently it took him 8 years to make an issue of it, and to link back to some unnamed-unspecific sanction?

also the first time Kadyrov was included in a sanction was 2016. two years after this alleged event. The only sanction involving this horse before this was in 2014, but it had nothing to do Ukraine, but his previous ties to human rights violations. And all it did was say he couldn't win money with the horse anymore. It didn't take the horse away.

Is Kadyrov really arguing that NOW someone knows this particular horse is worth 10 million (its not), they will make more money from it? Yeah I doubt anyone is paying anything for a 9 year old horse, at its youngest. Even if it was a thoroughbred, and even if it was worth 10 million 8 years ago, it would not fetch anywhere close to that price now. Looking it up the most expensive horses are ones that can win big races, those will fetch north of 10 million. But a thoroughbred with no real history to say it would be winning a big (expensive) race, is not fetching anywhere close to 10 million.

you really will buy into whatever story you are fed without applying any critical thinking whatsoever.

You don't see how going after independent media and other citizen groups doesn't make one concerned? Really?
Is that what you took away from that legislation? Or was it simply identifying foreign NGOs or organizations that receive a significant amount of foreign funding?

The native shills are restless this morning. Having to prop up the bald dwarf’s incompetence as well as soft selling Georgians telling their government to piss of with the proposed, and for now withdrawn, authoritarian legislation

Foreign Agents Registration Act - Wikipedia.

The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) (22 U.S.C. § 611 et seq.) is a United States law that imposes public disclosure obligations on persons representing foreign interests. It requires "foreign agents"—defined as individuals or entities engaged in domestic lobbying or advocacy for foreign governments, organizations, or persons ("foreign principals")—to register with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and disclose their relationship, activities, and related financial compensation.

Well, yeah, in the US the laws applies to actual foreign agents. Easy to see your confusion.

Now list the first amendment. You know… from that bill of rights that doesn’t exist in your home country of Russia?

Actually the do have one I googled it. From reading it quickly it would be great if they actually applied it.

Leaving out quite a bit there Ivan:
"The law, which has received initial approval, would require media outlets and NGOs that receive more than 20 percent of their funding from foreign sources to register as “agents of foreign influence”. "

Georgians protest ‘foreign agents’ draft law on media, nonprofits

“No it can’t be that we’re really this incompetent at guarding our special mission aircraft that we can’t get spare parts for or replace with the newer version… that we can’t get parts to build it. It has to be that evil NATO thwarting us at every turn.” 😂

Putin making enemies...

The head of Russia’s notorious Wagner mercenary group Yevgeniy Prigozhin said on Thursday that he’d been cut off from all government communication channels following his recent public plea to the Ministry of Defense to supply his fighters in Ukraine with urgently needed ammunition.

“In order to stop me from asking for ammunition, they turned off all special [government] phone lines in all of the offices and [Wagner] units … and blocked all [my] passes to the agencies responsible for making decisions,” Prigozhin said in a message posted on his Telegram channel.

Prigozhin made headlines last month when he accused Russia's top brass of committing "treason" by intentionally depriving his fighters in eastern Ukraine of ammunition supplies.

He subsequently called on ordinary Russians to help him put pressure on the country's regular army to share their supplies of ammunition with Wagner mercenaries.

Though Prigozhin subsequently announced that ammunition shipments to Wagner had resumed, in his Thursday message he revealed that the ammunition shortage “situation” hadn’t, in fact, seen much improvement.

“Now I can only ask [for more supplies] through the media and … most likely will be doing just that,” Prigozhin said.

A close ally of President Vladimir Putin, Prigozhin has been engaged in a public stand-off with Russian military officials for months now, accusing them of taking credit for victories won by Wagner fighters and of slowing down the advance of Wagner units in Ukraine with red tape.
