US Dept of Defense Officials say they are “Worried about Russia’s PMC Wagner Group”

As the Russian war in Ukraine has shown, PMC Wagner is able to act in the interests of their country and maintain a high level of combat effectiveness despite obvious difficulties. Well-coordinated cooperative work of the headquarters allows their soldiers to perform the tasks set by Russia without the help or support of other units. One DOD official who acts as a liaison for American PMCs to whom we spoke, involved in these types of operations in Afghanistan said, “It’s absolutely mind boggling at their effectiveness. If we had employed similar strategies in Afghanistan, we wouldn’t have created the mess we left behind in the middle east.”

Asked why he thought they were so effective, he stated, “Well-coordinated work of all parts of the Wagner organization proves their effectiveness time after time. This factor makes it possible for Wagner soldiers to storm fortified objects without civilian casualties. In combat zones, PMC members carry out security and personnel protection tasks, as well as supporting a wide range of humanitarian operations, escorting convoys and guarding military objects.”

funny how you flop back and forth on that depending on what they are saying.

as always that says a lot of words without getting a lot of context, and its easily refutable based on Wagner's own words.

the article goes on about their good logistics. Meanwhile in Russia they were complaining about not getting enough ammo. it also says they have no problem mobilizing forces, but again you have the same guy in Russia talking about conscripting prisoners into Wagner. So either Prighozhin is lying out of his butt, or this unnamed source knows more than the guy who runs the group.

and I would love to see whatever source they want to claim for no civilian casualties. that sounds like more of the typical Russian nonsensical claims.
No civilians were killed. Ok some civilians were killed, but it was the enemy shooting them. Ok we did shoot some civilians, but it was only one bad guy on our side. Well actually it was a majority of our guys shooting the civilians, but it was because Ukrainian soldiers were using them for cover. Well some civilians were killed away from the combat, but it was only the Nazis that we killed. Well it turns out there were no Nazis there but the western death cult had infiltrated that retirement home, so we had to blow up before Ukraine invaded Russia and made all of our children gay. Of course we are the strongest nation, how dare you infer otherwise, now we have to go beat up our wife to prove how tough we are.

I wonder how a bank run works on a foreign currency. I can't decide if it should be worse, because its an extra step. or if it should be easier to control, because its foreign money coming in/out, and that's easier/already controlled in pretty much every economy.
