War in Ukraine

WOW... so Racheal Dolezal is "black", Bruce Jenner is a "woman" and now Leopard tanks are "Ukrainian"...

Annalena Burbock asked not to call "Leopards" German. German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock asked the media to change their editorial policy:

“Understand, it doesn’t matter where it’s made. You don’t say about your iPhone that it’s American or Tim Cook. You say that it’s yours. It’s the same story with tanks ... German in Germany, and this is "Ukrainian. And what they do with them does not apply to us. Thank you!" Burbock said.

No, these are German tanks burning again in Ukraine. And it was Germany that sent these tanks to Ukraine to kill Russians. Why are you afraid to admit it? Do you understand what you're doing wrong? You understand everything correctly, this is bad and you will be punished for it.

Good ole victor forgot to add that the tanks are manned by Ukrainian crews and the Russians they are killing invaded their country and are killing their fellow countrymen. Why is that Moe? 🤡

there you go being an absolutist again. Of course it doesn't protect them 100% of the time. The idea for the protection is typically to limit the spread of the damage. So instead of 8 dead in a Bradley, its 6, thats still protecting even though people died. A direct hit by one of Russia's depleted uranium rounds is still going to tear a large hole through a person, but hopefully the spalling isn't bad enough to shred everyone else, thus "protection".

also I understand at least some of these Bradley's are the aluminum ones, which has a pretty obvious limitation.

Good. Depleted uranium sabot rounds are the correct ammo for MBT penetrating rounds. Everyone uses them including Russia.

Seems like @Rasputin_Vol has devolved into strictly posting twitter feeds which may or may not even have to do with the war.

From what I've read, it hasn't hit maximum intensity yet.
we will see if it does.

it may just be me, but this year seems to be a lot of overpromised offensives. Russia's big winter offensive was taking like 2 miles of territory in Bakhmut. Then you had whatever was going on with the "invasions" of Belogrod, just being a few platoons, and just taking a few border towns. Ukraine has made bigger moves in their recent attacks, just doesn't seem to be changing the war. maybe they are holding back still or waiting on something, but it has been a let down so far with all the talk about their western trained and equipped divisions.

Starting to think the “BRICS is going to destroy the western world order” fantasies may have been a bit overblown.

I can't figure out some of these new alliances.

India hates China, China hates India.
India buys Russian military equipment which it uses in border conflict with China.
China is the friend of Russia with no limits.
Pakistan hates India, India hates Pakistan.
China loans money to Pakistan, Pakistan opens contacts with Russia.
Pakistan is Muslim, China is trying to wipe out its Muslims.

To quote the great Vince Lombardi, "What the hell is going on out there?"

I think you're right.
Meduza.io\en has an interesting article on status, etc.
Some progress. Strong defense by Russia. No breakthroughs so far.

Is this realistically going to make a difference? Take a step back and really tell me that 25 more vehicles and a 22 million more small arms will make a difference.

5000 men packed out with 200 rounds/day adds up to 1 million rounds. So at best, you are talking about 3 weeks of ammo for one NATO brigade.
