War in Ukraine

My brother talked to the family friend, former special forces, who is currently in Kiev..... Says to watch the north over the next week or two. Says word is something big is likely to happen. Says couldn't say anymore......

So it would seem that the missiles that Ukraine fired at the Kerch Bridge recently were S-200s, not the British supplied Storm Shadows.

Why aren't they using Storm Shadows on this target? Were there terms forbidding the Ukrainians from using them on Kerch? The bridge is definitely within range of them, and they're the best long-range weapons the UAF has - and they're specifically designed for such a target.

What gives?

I read somewhere that they are not the best solution for taking out bridges. They were designed for a different purpose like punching through bunker walls, in other words they put a hole in the bridge without taking it down. Some other NATO country has a variation of it with a different warhead that is better suited to hitting a bridge. The variation has a different name. That's all I remember.

Something good or bad? Russia's been attacking the north to try to pull Ukraine back from the south.

You don't understand conversation rates apparently. You might want to stay out of this lane unless you can also equate it to a standard of living decrease similar to what we've seen in the US during the Biden Administration.
The context was amortizing the payment of a loaf of bread over 12 months. Do you understand the time value of money and can you read this chart?

Do you understand it? You are looking at inflationary costs consistent to what we've seen in the US.

Basically you ain't saying $hit groundbreaking. In fact comparing that type of bread to our costs, it's probably cheaper.

Oh I understand it perfectly. That’s why I’m enjoying you repeatedly acting like the joke isn’t obvious in the context that was initially put forth and actually trying to deflect it back to puddinhead 😂

Yeah, I think they're ideally for bunker busting with minimal collateral damage, but they were recently used by Ukraine to hit the Chongar highway and railway bridges which are out of HIMARS range.

So why not use them to hit Kerch Bridge?

It's weird. I hope the Brits and French didn't pre-condition their use by stating that Kerch was "part of Russia".

Either way so take it personally which you will say you're not. I know you view much of what people say through a critical lense.

I mostly stay away from this thread because I have lost confidence in the industrial complex led by bureaucrats led by this commander in chief.
