War in Ukraine

Georgia was a case where NATO pumped up Saakashvili like they are doing Zelensky right now. Crimea has been Russian since Catherine the Great and before the USA was a country.
That’s pretty damn funny since Russia signed a document in 1994 stating it recognized Crimea as Ukrainian and would respect those territorial boundaries, Moe. 🤡

Color me wholly unsurprised that you are (willfully) ignorant of history.

you mean Catherine the Prussian. who deposed the lawful RUSSIAN tsar in a bloody coup, and oh yeah he was her husband.
And they also gave up Crimea while we were a country, but somehow you always overlook that. they haven't owned Crimea in 75 years, especially if you want to argue that Russia is not the USSR, then it has been over 100 years. But I am guessing this is one of those times you will say Russia was the USSR.

Ukrainians break through minefield towards Tokmak

Background: The day before, The Washington Post stated that US intelligence believes that the Ukrainian counter-offensive will not achieve its key goals, namely the liberation of Melitopol, because even regaining control of Tokmak is a difficult task given the three Russian defence lines.

Our "experts" have really sucked on their calls since the very beginning of this war:
  • The US military believes the real number is 3 days. In closed door briefings in the House and Senate last week, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Gen. Mark Milley told lawmakers Kiev could fall within 72 hours, at a cost of 4,000 Russian troop deaths and 15,000 Ukrainian troop deaths, multiple congressional sources say.
Now, once again, the Ukrainians are hopefully proving our generals wrong.
