War in Ukraine

So your actual real answer is that you support the suffering of the Ukrainian people, the wasting of American tax dollars, and the agenda of a corrupt uniparty gov.

They support the neocon uniparty i.e. Evil. Ask them if they are donating to Syria and Iraqi which are trying to kick their evil foreign invaders out?

As Russia Advances, NATO Considers Sending Trainers Into Ukraine

So far the United States has said no, but Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said on Thursday that a NATO deployment of trainers appeared inevitable. “We’ll get there eventually, over time,” he said.
we need to keep saying no to training in Ukraine. that just invites us to getting our own people killed and us dragged into a land war with Russia.

The US is still the largest foreign donor of humanitarian aid to both Syria and Iraq.

Although he cant deploy anyone, The Chair of JCOS seems to disagree. There are several others like Miley and NATO leadership. In fact it refernces Article 2 even if it isnt loss of American soldiers.

Invade them, blow them up, take over and send aid to support the puppet government you installed until it collapses.

If the red line is they are mad at ole baddie Putin for invading than I don't see what that has to do with anything. Russia has been rebuilding the destruction of the West.

how has Russia been rebuilding anything?

You don't get to Joe Biden it. Shut down the economy then allow it to reopen and call it growth. same thing with Putin, you don't get to blow it up and then claim you are rebuilding. just like you are correctly critiquing the US foreign policy you should be doing the same with Russia. but you can't.

Those people in the East are living normally from what I can tell, there wasn't much to rebuild. They moved in, and rebuilt some of the areas that were damaged. The rest will have to be destroyed first.

You're the one with blood on your hands with all this humanitarian aid. Your country has been invading countries all over the place, so what? What I am saying is if their only red line is invading another country than what they should be doing is hoping for American soldiers to die. They should also be helping those countries with taking out American soldiers.

> I never said that was my red line. <

Heck, I'm still trying to figure out why the Ukrainians are all of sudden my new friends. I thought they were the enemy.

The vast majority of what is going on only makes sense if the plan is to make money.

US military advisors have been present in Ukraine for as long as the embassy has been reopened.

Why are you getting so upset about other NATO countries sending their own advisors to train Ukrainians as well?

"People in the east are living normally"?

Maybe by Russian standards it's "normal".

Videos of mariupol being rebuilt, which is an ongoing effort. Doubt Russia spends much time or effort fixing stuff as they move East. Make it all a big parking lot. As they move East its not to take it over but destroy it. Those FAB catchers from the East probably aren't getting new apartments.

You don't think Putin and his MIC are making money? and loving this war going on and on?

I am glad we finally have somebody outing themselves as a foreign agent. nice to get a little honesty around here.

you can go look at any thread that involves us getting involved in someone else's war. my first response is some variant of "No". The Syria thread has me on the first page with a "no". even in this thread I argued against the no fly zone, I argued against us guarding certain behind the lines areas to free up Ukraine, I am still arguing with people about the Memorandum meaning we have to throw troops in to fulfill its terms.

I am as anti-interventionalist as they come. I just differentiate between being anti-interventionalist and being isolationist. which is too fine of a point for most people, including you apparently.

Potemkin villages that are being used to house the Russian nationals that Russia is moving into Mariupol in an attempt to 'Russify' it.

I think I'll reserve the right to be pissed AF about both groups being in country.

I support the Ukrainian people defending themselves and their nation from Russia's genocidal invasion.

One thing we've definitely learned because of this war, is who on this message board would be the first to surrender to an invader were the US ever faced with an invasion.
Do you know for a fact that the majority of the country supports the continuation of this war? Or would peace negotiations be preferred? Asking because you come off like an authority of what makes the Ukraine people happy.

Considering that Putin is on record saying that he has no desire to make peace, their opinion on "continuation" is somewhat moot.

The majority seem to be against giving up Ukrainian territory for a false peace with Russia though.

If you were the least bit honest, you'd own up to the fact that you don't advocate "peace", but rather Ukrainians surrendering themselves and their country to Putin.

at the start I was fine with the level of support. Not sure where exactly my line was, but it certainly became too much. I was already past my line, but one big example of things gone too far is when our politicians put a border policy on hold until Ukraine got funded.

no intra-American policy should ever, ever, be on the line or wait for any bit of foreign aid. all foreign aid should be at the absolute very bottom of the list of things to do. they should be the items that Congress is constantly like, yeah we will get to it right after our next break, we super duper promise.

unfortunately for your argument you have people actively arguing that we should get more involved, sending troops to fight. there is plenty to debate, you are arguing for the next Afghanistan, just far more expensive, with far far more dead Americans. with just as little to show for it.

Your worldview is warped methinks.

First of all domestically, Congress *had* a border bill that was created in a bi-partisan manner and supported by Biden, but Trump shot it down because he wants this issue to be available to him for the election.

Fact.

As for Ukraine, I've never argued for us sending our troops over there to fight.

Fact.

Get your facts straight if you want to debate, bro.

Amen, brother. The level of pussitude of the minority here makes my head spin. Given I've got a daughter in law in the army, I can tell you we're all in.

I know all about it, son. It was no border reform at all.

Clearly you don't. Sadly, I suppose you're welcome to live in your imaginary Trump world.

The "Republican" party has become dysfunctional. Thanks to one person.

As I said in 2020, I think Trump will be the death of the GOP.
