i consider there to be a difference between defense and adventurous wars

theres no sense in us leading this when the eu drug their feet after financing Putin all these years though

the two parties that stood the most to lose were ukraine and the eu and the eu had the most to gain too

the optics with us leading were bad too. triggered decades of programming the russian people had against us and let Putin pretend he was fighting against nato

Because the US would have a commercial interest in the area, and US citizens working there, which would be a prohibition against any further Russian aggression.

The problem with most liberals is that gulf between their ideals and reality. They aren't going to win, and the US isn't going to war with Russia for them. Everyone needs to come to grips with that.

We're not really asking them to do anything. We're saying no more money, and we're not going to war with Russia for them. Their best bet is to try to negotiate an end to this. Call it unfair all you want.

With some of the comments out of Germany, have to wonder why Trump's actions seem to be leading to a Europe re-arming itself, possibly including a nuclear arsenal to eliminate the need for an American shield.

Hmmm. Wonder why Trump would do his buddy Putin like that? Cannot imagine the Russians are all that excited about a more militaristic Germany.
