War in Ukraine

Last week it was that Putin didn’t have plans to invade and that Biden was being too aggressive.

This week it is that, duh, it's obvious Putin was going to invade and it's because Biden isn't aggressive.

Fox has zero credibility at this point on this issue. They should just go back to bashing the Supreme Court nominee and complaining about gas prices. That's their comfort zone. Complex international affairs not so much.
Your lib propaganda media machines are just as bad or worse.

Ukraine can want in all they want, but it is NATO that has the decision on if they can become a member. NATO could have shut this down in 2014 (really in 1999) by not expanding eastward. Obviously, that didn't happen and we are here now.
And who says he wouldn't have advanced on those now NATO countries without NATO protection? He's admitted that he wants to go back to the old USSR lines. Now he's probably pushed Finland and Sweden to NATO.

This is horrible, but I'm going to say it...

The one positive so far out of all of this, is finally we are talking about something other than COVID.

Putin is the new enemy. I've never rooted for anyone harder than I'm rooting for Ukraine.

Considering the past 15 years or so, that kind of reaction (cheering for what appears to be a hopeless cause) is pretty normal for a red blooded Tennessee football fan. Sure would be nice if next year a lot of the competition showed the same competence and drive that the Russians are showing in Ukraine.

All of this was caused by NATO expanding east and not being willing to arrive at a reasonable, diplomatic solution which would have been a more neutral Ukraine, clearly intended to provoke and agitate Russia. Mission accomplished on that front.

Now, as Americans, we cheer on the apparent weakness in Russia and Putin for the time being, but ignore the lurking danger that is growing in Turkey. Syria, Cypress, Greek Isles, Georgia, Armenia and Central Asia are now going to be on Erdogan's radar.

Not to mention that we our oppressors and controllers here in The West will tighten their grip with little opposition or counter moves to worry about.

If this plays out as it appears right now, this is a short term victory for the Ukrainians and humanity as a whole. But a world where you have Erdogan, CCP and Anglo-American woke neoliberals/MIC neocons working together is going to fast track the type of nonsense we've been seeing over the past 2 years.
You should ask why the former Soviet states want to join NATO. They don't want to be under the Russian thumb anymore, and after this nightmare you should see why.

If Russia’s neighbors are wanting to be aligned with the rest of Europe, then that is their business, and Russia’s fault.

If this plays out like it appears to be, this is not going to be something to be cheering about in the long run. Instead of Putin, now you are going to have an emboldened Erdogan that already has his hands in Syria and has mentioned wanting to unite the Turkic people/countries in Central Asia and expanding his brand of an Islamic/Neo-Ottoman Empire. China will be China and always a threat, but only now, they will likely learn a thing or two from this situation and strategize accordingly in Taiwan.

And last but not least... the group I am most concerned about, the globalists and neocons/neoliberals here in America/The West. They will be encouraged to continue on as they have been, if not up the ante. Russia was one of the few countries that stood in the way of their ambitions along with a few of her allies. But at this point, we can expect more tyranny, woke politics, LGBTQ, corrupt economics and eventual erosion of any Constitutional protections we have left. Oh, and not to mention Biden possibly finally getting some kind of win on any column. The guy has done nothing positive or helpful his entire time and it appears that he is going to back into a situation that justifies everything that was done to provoke what is happening in Ukraine right now.

It is good for the people of Ukraine right now to defend themselves the way they have. But at this point, I'm not sure this won't be a long term nightmare for humanity as a whole. The people that are giving us hell right now are going to be the big winners in all of this. Ukraine, and at this moment Russia, are just pawns in a greater game.

You get the feeling that with the collapse of the Soviet Union that maybe Russia has had a collapse in moxie or whatever you want to call it similar to our own. The Russian military in Ukraine just doesn't look like it wants to fight, and there's no threat to force them like there was back in the Soviet days. Just a bunch of unmotivated guys going through the motions - complete lack of ambition except for walking away to save their necks. Expect something better from their fighter and maybe bomber pilots, though. Those guys get a different motivation - what they do is a personal challenge - something like race car drivers.

If we lose to Florida, again, with another first year head coach at their helm, I may have to reup with a foreign legion. Travel to Ukraine and graffiti tag "wolverines!" on everything.

There is no better opposition or option in the world than Putin. There is nothing or anybody else out there that can counter the Anglo-Americans/Western influencers or the CCP at this point if things continue on.

For all of the funny videos about comparing the "woke" US army videos vs the Russian ones, looks like the woke side has an upper hand for the moment. All this will do is encourage more woke/nihilistic/cultural decay here at home and bring about more of the state controls over ever aspect of our lives.

But in the meantime, congrats to the people of Ukraine for their fighting spirit... if they would only now keep that same energy to fight the Anglo-Americans that have been there raping their country and using them as a geopolitical chess pawn and corruption center.
I am a conservative...you are a nut job. I agree with a few of your thoughts, but you take it to such an extreme that it nullifies everything you say.

The world and our country don't need lunatics like Putin, it needs common sense pragmatic centrists that understand that compromise, peace and co-operation are the keys to long-term prosperity for everyone.

Somebody needs to teach them the one at the front of the column, then the one at the back ... then you work the ones trapped in the middle.

Actually, in this case they're so close that the explosion and secondary explosions from the center vehicle took out all of the surrounding vehicles. Plus, I sense that Ukraine doesn't have a bunch of these drones and there aren't a bunch of A10s or F35s to sweep in and mop up.

There's another post-fact video available street-side.

Bunch of crispy critters.

The first Red Dawn was a good movie. Haven't watched the remake because I'm afraid somebody screwed it up.
