I agree that we, the United States, meddle too much in foreign politics. But you choose to ignore that Russia was meddling in the Ukraine as well. Russia is not the innocent you have chosen to portray them as, and honestly, it's always baffled me why you choose to paint them in that light. Putin is just as guilty of the conduct that you rail against our politicians for engaging in, but somehow you believe it okay for him, yet totally wrong for us. Why can't both sides be wrong, Ras? And in this case, Putin and Russia are more wrong because they have invaded a sovereign nation and are killing people. Personally, I understand why Putin doesn't want NATO on his doorstep. It's not that different than the U.S. not wanting Russia ithen Cuba. But it still doesn't make what he's doing okay, or justify it in any way.

The truth is that we do not exist in a bubble. We can not isolate ourselves from the rest of the worlds problems. If we do,we will be the only ones left, cut off from everyone and everything in basically a continent sized siege.

I do wonder who is supplying them. Best guess is maybe the Polish? They still have 23 MiG-29s in service while having 32 +option for 16 more F-35s.

I doubt they just drop off the jets. Their pilots might remain for the fight, which brings up an interesting dynamic of NATO involvement. Just a USSR tactic in Korea and Vietnam.

I haven't justified anything. I'm simply explaining how we got to this point. The West took a gamble on this by not wanting to fairly and reasonably settle the Ukraine situation.

Pretty credible reports that russia is being over run with peaceful protests. Putin is trying to lock the streets with police (who obviously don't want to do their jobs). It seems that some of his military leadership voted no to bombing kyiv and were dismissed. They took to social to try to save face.

kyiv is taking extremely heavy shelling from all sides.

I am sure both sides have had heightened alert since day one. Especially the Russians. I gotta say the state media comments certainly got everyones attention, but frankly they could strike at any time without even this operation. Fact is it works for his agenda at this point and no one knows if it is rhetoric

This is the thing - a lot of propaganda going around from all directions - not the least from our own media, whom I do not trust in the slightest.

Very hard to get real information in a hot war. Crazy thing is in the social media age, there is more information but less truth.

How so? I'm all for the Ukrainians, have been amazed at their resilience and tenacity, and proud of the reactions from people around the globe.
What I find pathetic is that Fox, during this time of unity and almost universal condemnation of Putin, would report about a poll that claims 59% of Americans blame Putin's invasion on Biden.

That is simply sad and pathetic and so many levels. Take a step back and actually think about that.
