If this happens from Polish soil it will be seen by Russia as a NATO attack. At that point, they might as well just add Ukraine to NATO and get the party started.

First off, Germany actually encouraged Austria-Hungary to go to war with Serbia. By 1914, Austria-Hungary was almost a puppet state of the German Empire because their leadership was very weak. Look it up, Germany pushed the war. Germany almost started WW1 in 1911 over Morocco. The only way that WW1 doesn't happen is if Kaiser Wilhelm and his general staff are not running the show in Germany.

The Nazi party does not get elected if not for the Depression. The Nazis were polling about where the US Libertarian or Green party polls in our elections until the Depression hit. The Nazis (through blind luck) predicted the Depression would happen as well which caused them to gain more legitimacy with the German people.

I don’t need to look it up. Austria was not a “puppet” of Germany until well after the war broke out. Don’t confuse Hitler’s polling numbers with that of the Nazi Party. The Nazi’s predicted the Stock Market would crash and banks had out leveraged themselves into loans that couldn’t be repaid, deflation, and massive runs on banks? The Nazi’s may have predicted a banking crash but I can assure you those reasons weren’t tied to the Dust Bowl, mismanaged debt, over speculation, and deflation.

I don't know the guy, obviously. But I don't think the guy is a psychopath. He's definitely a megalomaniac, a bully and a criminal (possibly a sociopath) but that's why he is where he is - heck that's why all of these world leaders are world leaders. it takes effort and a thick skin, ego and a dash of nuttiniess..

My hope is that if he's sick, people around him would recognize that and make plans to "stop taking orders."

I’ve been wondering that myself and does Ukraine have good roads in the country to spread them all around and hide them. Can MIG’s land on dirt roads. Seems like remember Russia built them to do just that.

Actually they received some Tornados on Sunday. It's been a mainstay of European forces for over 35 years so it's 3rd generation versus the SU-27 that claims to be 5th generation (that's F-22 Raptor, F-35 level, and I'm not buying it). But the Tornados are all-weather capable and carry a significant weapons load. I was surprised at that transfer.

One of my business partners was an Army intel officer in Iraq. He believes Russia cannot now take the whole country. That's a formula for extended guerrilla war which will require 250,000 Russian troops in Ukraine for 10-20 years. They can't afford that.

He and I were both quoting the line from Charlie Wilson's War where the CIA weapons analyst joyfully says "Let's go kill some Russians."

Well, after reading this interview with Fiona Hill, we should all be worried. He will most likely go full retard. There’s a damn good chance we see nuclear strikes from this.
