Like most of what you say here, what the kid in the video was trying make comparisons between was ridiculous and I don't agree - but I disagree with shutting down any semblance of civilized conversation. That shows host was looking to virtue signal and wasn't the least interested in honest debate.

She is gay, she is black and she is an American. Billy Hayes had a more pleasant experience in Istanbul than what she is in for behind bars in Russia .... and this stinks to high heaven. The Russians are returning to their Cold War/Soviet roots. They have no shame when it comes to crap like this.

Some corps pay taxes, particularly small Subchapter C corporations. But Subchapter S corporations are not taxed at the corporate level.

Vape pens with CBD juice are prolific in Cali so she may not have really been aware of the danger, or simply have forgotten after it being normal in every day use.

To your other point about her being black and gay, neither matter only that she has a blue passport. I suspect not much to come of this eventually unless we actually go to war with Russia...and then it wont matter anyway.

It matters while she is in jail. And she was aware of the danger... unless she is stupid.

To me, that looks like a toxic PR disaster, not a Gary Powers type PR coup. I would think this gets resolved in short order. If anything, this plays in the hands of the NYT and special interests over here that need an excuse to escalate. They can say Russia is targeting blacks and LGBTQs and play off of the woke angle.

Exactly; if Russia were a more desirable partner other nations would want to trust and have relations with them. And Russia wouldn't be a schizophrenic paranoid wallowing in isolation they create.
