War in Ukraine

I'm pretty sure Obama hates Biden.

How many other former Presidents (other than Republicans for Trump) have waited until the week prior to campaign for their party's nominee?

I have no doubt Obama dislikes Biden but Biden is just a tool for those who control both Obama and Biden. Both were just placeholders for the people actually calling the shots.

No, this was about you, and something you said you would do. I simply asked which option you would prefer.
No, it was about the obligation one country (or segment of society) has when they see evil being done to another.

The AR or flintlock question was simply stupid. Of course a country, a group, a segment of society, or an individual desires to out arm their opponent.

And you served your nation when and where?

Can they be shot out of the sky?

I’m not sure what are capabilities are vs ICBMS. Someone on this board that has experience in that area could probably give better info on that. If it’s waves of them, I would seriously doubt you could hit them all.

There was a path for peace that was neglected by Ukraine and the west/US encouraged them to not abide by the Minsk II agreements because they convinced the Ukrainian leadership that the US and NATO would support them. So we put a battery in their backs and now that we have provoked Russia into this mess, NATO is nowhere to be found. Left Ukraine holding the bag.

That didn't help Ukraine or NATO... or really Russia for that matter. There was an easy path to peace that was prevented from happening due to western hubris and arrogance... and financial angles, also.

Admittedly I am just catching up on our policies there (and it is hard to wade through with the recent material skewing things) but I have to agree in general with this.

The West (NATO) thought it could use Ukraine to squeeze Russia on the cheap, Now the bear decides to bite and everyone acts surprised. Doesn't absolve the bear for mauling innocent Ukrainian people in its rampage, however - there were certainly other strong but more measured responses Putin could have chosen. Though in fairness to him, he probably considered if he annexed Donbas and other Russia controlled Ukraine, then NATO may have used that as an excuse to give Ukraine membership. I can understand why he would not exactly trust us based on the past decade.

Even so, where does it leave us all now? The bear is rampaging across Ukraine, causing untold suffering, not least of which will be a refugee crisis with a massive economic impact on the EU. It is unlikely to hibernate through until it has eaten its fill. We need it to go back to its cave but what is the best method to do that without further encouraging the dragon and the Persian lion?

Teen Who Tracked Elon Musk Flights Has Moved On To Russian Oligarch Yachts

A 19-year-old Florida college student who tracked Elon Musk’s private jet trips, then expanded to Russian oligarch flights, is now drawing a bead on Russian billionaires’ mega-yachts.

Jack Sweeney, a freshman at the University of Central Florida, has started out by posting a list of some of the yachts on Twitter, and noted that the tracking isn’t “automated yet.”

Wealthy Kremlin-supporting Russians are trying to hide their superyachts amid sanctions from the U.S. and other allies in the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

It is ok to be looked at if you have done nothing wrong. They are not attacking Americans. Your individualism is intact. All the laws that attack individualism (like the patriot act) were republican. Democrats will not attack your individualism ... yet. Not now at least. When they do I will vote republican.
Democrats are attacking individualism if you have conservative or Christian values.

There are two problems with that last sentence:
1. We don't have the ability to leverage Russia or China anymore. Our leadership has failed us over the last 30 or so years. Really, since WWII.
2. We no longer hold the moral high ground, nor are we collectively a moral people, therefore, we really don't have much influence outside of our perceived military might.
I agree. Especially with the moral high ground argument I've heard from so many people these 5 to 6 years. It's almost as if our society is built on hypocrisy.

How could it join NATO with a war going on within its borders?

We don't go to war to install puppet governments subservient to us. We go to war to free countries. That does give us the moral high ground

Poland is soon going to have a complicated relationship with NATO similar to Turkey and (just recently) Germany.
It took less than a month for this to show itself. So now you can count Poland along with Germany and France that we may as well call Putin puppets, right?
