War in Ukraine

Oh of course Curly. The inane ramblings of a business blogger wanna be journalist who is a pro Russian shill will always carry more weight than a respected, well sourced academic think tank that’s clearly obvious 🤡
You mean a biased left leaning think tank. Right?

No I mean what I said. A well sourced academic think tank. I never said anything about bias. They publish all of their references in a detailed bibliography for their research products. They just don’t circle jerk cross link Russian state media and claim validation by quoting each other like zerohedge and your other useless sites.

If they were there just for land, they would have annexed the Donbas republics back in 2014 when they passed their own referendums. Instead, Putin rejected their referendums at the time with the hopes of having the Minsk II Agreements rectifying the issue. Donbas would have still been part of Ukraine right now had Ukraine been able to hold up their end of the bargain. I say "been able to" because it is obvious that Western powers wanted the Kyiv regime to drag this out long enough for them to get their army built and trained up. Kyiv was just taking their orders from the US and the Brits.
Right, because clearly the Ukrainians would have absolutely no interest of their own in protecting their homelands or having a military capable of standing up to the bully next door. A bully with a history of meddling in its neighbors affairs.

Those are two very obvious reasons that you just skip across because Muh America.

And referendums under gun point dont count. Especially when the ballots literally only had one option, join Russia. There was no rejoin Ukraine option on the ticket.

We'll have to see how that plays out, I guess. Its not in Russia's interest to take over areas where there isn't support of the people. The places which don't support Russia will have to surrender or be turned into parking lots.

This isn't nation building. This isn't a United States operation. :D

G-7 Agree On Russian Oil Price-Cap Scheme

Which we suspect reflects the market's reality check that this G-7 plan has no chance of becoming operational as to implement a cap, diplomats will have to convince European Union member nations to amend its sixth round of sanctions on Russia over the invasion of Ukraine - and that may still prove to be tough. That package, which prohibits the purchase of Russian oil starting Dec. 5, included a ban on the use by third countries of the bloc’s companies for oil-related insurance and financial services.

Stupid white people wasting time with stupid white people ideas. I thought the other sanctions were working?

Here is an idea, just stop all imports of Russian oil. <-----

Just like no civilians were targeted, until they were. No one was raped, until there were a few bad actors. Just like russia was going out of it's way to avoid destruction, until now it's all about total destruction.

Hundreds of thousands of people dont move to SIBERIA of their own free will.

Russia's actions displaced the people with guns. Russia then dictated where those people end up, and has them under watch. That sounds like kidnapping to me.

You are only right because of the technicality that annexation is not nation building. And russia has a history of treating people in this area like crap.

If that were the case than they won't have the support and they'll just bomb it into parking lot or until they surrender.

Well, that didn't take long.

Russia Vows To Halt All Oil Exports To Countries That Impose "Completely Absurd" Price-Cap

“We will simply not supply oil and petroleum products to such companies or states that impose restrictions, as we will not work non-competitively,” Novak said, while denouncing the price cap as “completely absurd.”“It will completely destroy the market,” Novak continued, arguing that interference in market mechanisms in a key commodity like oil would have a destabilizing impact on energy security in countries across the world.

Also, I wonder what OPEC would think about a price cap? You think they are going to want any artificial mechanisms out here capping oil prices?
