Nothing like thinking 2 kids are are the only 'talent' that exists. Unfortunately if we dont sign these two kids we will be forced to sign players that rode the bench in high school and have no chance of possibly being better than Ware and Jones. Just from what I have read and seen (and Coach Martin has scouted both more than any of us) I have no problem stating that in 4 years it is very possible Richardson has a better college basketball career than Ware. No matter what school they each attend.

that's what i was referencing. we're in no position to let players that can be developed into great players get away from us.

I miss the days of C-Lo, Dane Bradshaw, C.J. Watson, and all the other guys who gave our program a name in the past few years. :'(

If Cuonzo is the coach we believe he can be, we will be successful with or without five-star recruits.

Well based off the fact that less then 1/2 the players Pearl recruited at TN were players that ever lived up to their billing here (many left/dismissed or just never developed)... I don't think the chances are that great that either Ware or Jones are players we can't live w/o! I mean Pearl's talent evaluation/character evaluations were not his strong point. Besides the many busts he recruited and bad character guys... there's also the fact that he had to pretty much totally change his style of play because he recruited a bunch of players who couldn't play his system... that's pretty bad imo. Anyways, yeah maybe Ware or Jones become some really great players, but based off the fact these are guys Pearl landed- history says that chances are pretty good they'd never stay 4 years here w/o getting in trouble and being dismissed or that they just weren't as good as advertised. I mean I'll take them... but I won't think the sky is falling if they don't come here lol

There was contact but there is no offer on the table from UK. What I am being told on certain sites.

For all the Ware haters out there, if Cal wants him too... maybe now you will give Ware a little credit for being ok at basketball...

Any news at all on how CCM's visit with Ware went?

Serial??? No one has any updates on Ware? No tweets, facebook updates, baby momma's, husband's, niece's friend that heard anything? Nothing at all? Am I really the only one that cares just as much about Ware's decision as Jones's?

I am waiting to hear, but I do not have any new info.

Dane also still has not been offered the GA spot as far as I know. I think that would be a wise move for Coach Martin.

BVF, That is my concern... IMO, its not good that we haven't heard anything as well and I agree with your comment. I would settle for Richardson, but Ware has far greater athleticism and upside IMO. Chris Jones grades are fine, its a simple 1 pt increase on his ACT that has him in doubt. I really hope we can keep both of them. They are a nice 1-2 pairing in the back court.
