Come talk when your team is relevant.

I'd rather be non relevant than relevant for committing assault on other human beings and having the Super Bowl victory and only meaningful season in the franchise's history tainted.

But that's just me.

A Saints fan talking about being relevant. How ironic. You forget about the other sixty years of your team's crap history? Your team is made up of a bunch of classless pieces of garbage. Sorry you have to take it out on everyone else to feel better about the situation...

LOL. Says the guy with Cam Newton on his team. I forgot what a beacon of class he is.

Come on now. Surely you don't think I condone that behavior, do you? I'm certainly not celebrating that. But I also don't see it as tainted the championship season at all.

And surely you would acknowledge the Saints being relevant for their recent success, and not just for the bounty scandal?

Seems to not have been involved in a bounty program, arrested, or been a bad teammate since his arrival in Carolina and his teammates acknowledge him as the leader of the team. You're right, what a thug...

It will, whether right or wrong.

And not anymore. It's over. Anytime somebody brings up those Saints team, the bounty will be mentioned.

I don't know if I agree with that. But I'm obviously biased. And lets not pretend that the Saints were the only team who put bounties out on players. They may have been the only ones foolish enough to lie about it, but they're certainly not the only ones who did it.

It is. Anytime you bring up Saints, the bounty is mentioned. It will continue to be mentioned, especially if they keep Payton (who should be fired).

Nope, but it's been made public, and was so bad the NFL investigated it for over three years.

I don't care either way, but trying to compare Cam Newton's dropped charges and NCAA investigation to your team's involvement in attempting to injure or end the careers of opposing players is asinine and apples to oranges...

I wasn't comparing them at all. I wouldn't argue that what the Saints did is far worse than anything Cam Newton is guilty of. I just don't like Cam. We were talking smack about each other's teams, so I took a shot a Cam. Not relevant to the Saints bounty issues at all...

OK, it is TODAY. Long-term, I don't see that championship team being defined by the bounty scandal. Maybe I'm wrong.

As far as Payton, as much as I like the guy, I would support New Orleans if they fired him. I got all over JoePa and PSU for misleading the NCAA, so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't apply that same logic to Payton. Will be interesting to see what Benson's stance is on Payton.
