Was Bruce Pearls tenure at UT more Positive or Negative?

If our bb team gets hit hard by the ncaa how positive is that? I don't think people will see it as a positive if we're talking about this five years down the road.

It totally depends on the punishment. If it's a scholly or two, probation, and that's about it, it's a very positive tenure that ran its course because of Bruce's idiocy.

If we are hit hard, then things change.

Wait till we get into the season and are back to being the laughing stock of the SEC and tell me how Pearl was negative. I wish coach Martin all the best, but, its hard to believe that lightning will strike twice especially considering who hired both.

DD is looking like a better hire every day. Pearl was extremely successful before telling the most boneheaded lie of the millennium. Lane Kiffin would have probably recruited and won, had he stayed, and it took balls to fire Fulmer. Mike Hamilton is way too often the scapegoat in Big Orange country.

If we become the laughing stock of the SEC, it's almost certainly because we got hit hard with sanctions, courtesy of your hero's dishonesty.

All he had to say was, "Yes, that's my house" to the NCAA the first time, and he'd still have his job. UT didn't have any other realistic choice but to fire him, and it will become clear when the NCAA hands him a show-cause penalty when the verdict is in.

So...

Keep someone who made one elite eight and risk getting hit hard by the NCAA (Actually, it wasn't a risk, it was going to happen)

Or...

Fire him, show the NCAA we mean business, don't get hit hard by the NCAA, and hire a guy with a good resume.

Yes, real hard choices.

I know everyone read my post as UT shouldn't have fired Pearl. But it had more to do with hiring Cuonzo.
