I know he lied. I know he was wrong about that. It just strikes me weird that someone winds up with a picture of a guy (Aaron Kraft) playing at Ohio State now and Selby at Kansas (he being in the midst of having to pay back 5,000.00 for some violation with money 5,000. he had). Now the guy born in Findlay Ohio is playing at OSU. Just so happens born in Findlay where an NCAA committee member lives(fact). Suppose it’s just ironic. I smell a rat somewhere is all. This makes me want to support BP if he was set up (not by the NCAA) but by someone.

He could have avoided the whole thing by telling the thruth

He wasn't set up. It wasn't a trap. But he was thrown under the bus. The NCAA didn't just come across the photos themselves.

He was definitely trapped. The original question about the photo was pure setup.

Yes, he was set up... by his own ignorance!
I would like for BP to stay with the Vols but this could be his last year. We'll see....
GO VOLS!

Either way , doesnt make the situation better. Im sick of commentators running us in the ground, it must have a horrible effect on recruiting. Im beginning to think losing BP might end up being our best option. If he cant recruit, he cant continue to win like he has in the past. As much as I like BP, and as far as he's taken our program, I'm afraid the NCAA is going to make sure he isnt successful anytime in the near future. He is not bigger than the program and if firing him somehow saves our program from probation, goodbye BP. I have to believe the NCAA will come down harder on us for keeping him.

When you're a guy who hasn't made many friends in the profession you make yourself susceptible to that. Sucks.

But all this shiz could have been avoided with just being honest.

I am more inclined to believe that either Kansas or OSU, in a general conversation asked
Kraft or Shelby about their recruitment at U.T. Then Kraft and Shelby told them how their visit went. Realizing that it was a minor violation, OSU or Kansas notified the NCAA.
No big deal!! When Pearl lied, mis-spoke, decieved, mis-led, etc. that caused the problem.
It is no different from when Fulmer & Spurrier called the NCAA about Alabama and Albert Means. My opinion is that it occurs regularily. No coach likes to lose a recruit to another school; especially, when that other school violated recruiting ethics.
Bama was turned in by Fulmer & Spurrier when we couldn't get Albert Means and Bama
used poor recruiting ethics. Auburn was turned in when MSU didn't get Cam.
Remember, we beat Kansas and OSU since Bruce has been at U.T. and I am sure that they don't like losing to us.

BP has had a bad year. First the BP oil spill in the Gulf and now BP is suspended for 8 SEC games and may end up being fired.

Definitely made his own bed and is now sleeping in it. Doesn't excuse the snitcher, however.

We may have lost Adonis Thomas, but at this point that is all. In Chris Jones evaluation this past week he was compared to Sharron Collins and Kevin Ware was said to have vastly improved his mid-range game, has elite athleticism, and can get to anywhere he wants on the court at will. There was a write-up featuring 6 players from the event, and both Ware and Jones were selected out of the 6.

If we can secure a quality big in the class, and maybe a wing this class will be top 5

Don't pay any attention to those stupid announcers. They have no more idea what the NCAA is going to do than I do. Most of them are just talking what they want to see happen. The same guy who last night was giving Pearl down the road and calling for an end to Bruce's coaching career took up for Kanter and KY when the NCAA ruled him ineligible. In essence Jimmy Dicks (Dykes) said the NCAA should let Kanter play regardless of him taking thousands of dollars for playing basketball. The guy is a KY homer.

If not, we will still have a great couple of additions to our backcourt which are definitely needed. BTW, Jordan McRae's windmill was RIDIC!!! Way more impressive than that KU dunk that made #1 IMO

I didn't sense any bias from the crew last night. I thought they did nothing more than state the facts and in the end, say that no one knows what the NCAA will do. Some people act as if the national pundits are petitioning the NCAA to exile Bruce from college basketball altogether. Only one person has said anything that really got under my skin, and that was Len saying the NCAA should suspend him 2 years. That is ridic
