If you honestly think Hart has a great selling point to these coaches. Son your wrong.

1. Strong wants in SEC but not here
2. Gundy was never going to leave
3. Gruden will never coach here...NFL guy 100%
4. Fedora doesn't want to be known as a 1 and done....it creates a bad rep on his part. He will leave when loyalty is served.
5. UT is acting like the girl at the party that has no one but now is willing to sleep with who is left and now realizing the girl they had was pretty darn loyal.

Any fan that doesn't want Fulmer back is unreasonable, unrealistic, and to me lacks values.

But let me remind you who I am: I am for UT....when or loose....I don't demand wins....I demand integrity, honor, and loyalty. For those who don't....you need to inspect your self.....life will be hard with the Darwinism approach.

Good Luck with that!

I hate bad grammar: *lose

I'm a fan of Fulmer and I have to say that is one the stupidest remarks in VN history.

Phil's time as HC at TN has come and gone, enjoy it for what it was and move on.

Hell yea it was & still is, Phil was the start of our destruction. The guy hadn't won a SEC title in his last 10 seasons & we all know what happened every time Cutcliffe left to pursue other job opportunities.... To sum it up Phil Fulmer was a decent coach who excelled only when he was surrounded by great coordinators.

the truth is often tough to hear (or read in this case)

It's not the truth it's what some simply choose to believe. It happens everywhere though. If UGA goes 5-7 next year & Richt gets fired & they have 4 abysmal years following some will say he couldn't win big games so it was the right thing to do. At this point we may be fortunate to get Fulmer back but some would rather have John L Smith or some .500 coach from the mountain west or something.

Tennessee was pretty good when he was a coordinator though? To sum it up we have a lot of delusional fans with unrealistic expectations.

Loyal, but has no chance of winning prom king.

The Coach Fulmer fans are completely ignoring what a cutthroat "Toddlers and Tiaras" monster the SEC has become. You can be 15th in the nation and only be 7th in the SEC. THAT ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH.

Unless you want us to be the Purdue or NC State of the SEC.

Okay, if we can't be on the level of Alabama or Florida, let's just admit it and act accordingly.:mf_surrender:

Yepp, lets hire the guy that started this mess and the guy who can't make people hire him. The same guy that obviously let the game pass him by at the end of his carrer. Yeah, lets do that and watch attendance drop to all time lows and no recuits come.

How about we are now Vandy... remember they beat us.
Our only SEC win was Kentucky... 1 win

Thank you to all those that said we are doing this to get back to winning. Ya were F*****G winning!!!!!

Now I get to go through this every 3-4 years till someone lucks up and wins.

Thank you for leading us to the promise land.

Coach Fulmer's record here is similar to John Cooper's record at Ohio State. Both schools made decisions that had to be made. tOSU didn't go back to Cooper after Tressel had to go. They moved forward to eventually land Urban Meyer.

The question is whether we are a top football power or not. If not, then fine, let's bring Coach Fulmer back.

Give it up you Aholes. Phil is gone forever! If he was such a great HC ask yourself why no other school has tried to hire him.

You can always be an Alabama or Florida fan. Their time will come it happens to ALL. Our spoiled, delusional, unrealistic fan base couldn't fathom a losing season & now have 3 more.

Yes, the past few years have been so much better than Coach Fulmer's tenure. I couldn't be happier than the place we are right this very moment. Totally worth it.

worth it? yes---but hamilton should have been fired long ago also. If hart screws up the new hire, he should be fired too.

We're not. Bring him back, and maybe at least we won't have to worry about getting beat by an Akron or a Troy or by one of the worst KY teams ever.

It's true that he didn't leave the program in great shape, but if it had to be like this (of course hindsight is 20/20), we should have kept him. If it had to be totally rebuilt, we might as well have let him do it.

We need stability, and a recovery, first and foremost. If they brought Phillip Fulmer back, I for one wouldn't complain.

When will this moronic non-sense stop? Fulmer is the biggest reason why the program is in such a bad state now. He left no OL's. He left no DL's. He left no QB's. He left no discipline. He was no longer competing either on the field or in recruiting with the top half of the SEC.

STOP IT ALREADY. Fulmer refused to change with the game then stayed past his prime. He preached that it was a privilege to play for UT but then acted as if he were entitled to be the HC regardless of his results.

Would Bama fans have ever admitted they weren't a top tier destination? Would tOSU fans have ever admitted they weren't a top tier destination? For that matter would Nebraska fans or UCLA fans have ever admitted they weren't top tier schools? Penn State is never going to consider itself less than a top tier destination.

Our fans, though, have decided that we are mediocre and proud of it. I either want a home run or the wilderness.

Maybe Spurrier was listening to our fans when he said you can't spell Citrus without UT.

This is the part in our history and we look back and say "what have we done?". The firing of Phillip Fulmer and the subsequent years have been the lowest point in our history. I was completely against firing him because I felt like Kiffin and staff were not an upgrade at all.

In hindsight, was it worth all this to get rid of Fulmer?

In life, there are decisions that we may have to make and those decisions can either end up disastorius or successful. There is no way to know the out come at the time that you make a decision.

Kinda like going for it on 4th and 1. It can be good if it works or it can be a disaster if it doesn't. Kinda like taking a risk in war, you can end up with the Medal of Honor or you could end up in a hospital.

Remember, Fulmer lost to Alabama, Florida and Arkansas each by about 28 points in his last season. That shows that we weren't even competitive.....

In my opinion, Fulmer had lost it.... I only wanted Fulmer gone IF a "homerun" hire was already waiting to take over. So, Hamilton makes up his mind after the USC game to fire Fulmer, but he doesn't announce it. Yet, he starts making phone calls to potential candidates immediately to see how they feel about the U.T. job. When one is really interested and seems ligitimate, then fire Fulmer and at seasons end, hire the interested coach.

Sorta like not dumping your girlfriend until you have a new one on the hook.....

So, the way that Hamilton handled the firing of Fulmer was not the best way to do it. I was not against firing Fulmer but I was against the way it was handled.....
